A Question For “Our Representatives” To Consider Before November 2006?

This article expresses opinions, fact and actual experience as gleaned from current media sources. The wise person does not accept all they see or hear but only considers if you have experienced such and if it can be possible. For that very reason it is for each person to consider what is presented and make their own decision.
What about Immigration Law and Homeland Security Law as written and currently on the books? Rhetorically, do you think that our elected representatives may have violated their oath and also the law in perhaps knowing they were broken but ignored doing anything about it? Well here is a fact right out of today’s paper. It is not mine just what as reported. To paraphrase an A.P. article that recently the government has started to crackdown on illegal workers. It said they have had a significant increase in enforcement on business using illegal workers this year. One asks rhetorically, is an election near? Out of the millions of illegal workers and thousands of businesses they have arrested under 500 employers and just under 1200 workers. They mentioned that even some of the employers were illegal themselves and were also conducting criminal activities. It also stated this was much better then the past when this aspect was totally ignored.
Is identity theft related to both issues? What about your identity aand information being serviced offshore in third world countries? Its not you say? Well it is and it is another fact! Also, have many sensitive files have been lost in the last year alone containing personal information? I wonder how the Minority Leader felt when he allegedly found out he had his stolen? I know it was reported in the press that the Governor of Florida had his critical information redacted. How about yours? Rhetorically, do you think you will be afforded the same courtesy? Also, when you call customer service at a supposedly American company who answers the phone nine out of ten times? Yes, someone who has real funny dialect. Go ahead and tell me an American. It is possible, but you know something, I don’t think probable. They even lie about their name. That is a good character / value check, isn’t it. A lot of trust right from the start. Yes, they have access to all they need and they can copy and hand it to anyone while you lock it up in that secret place and feel good about it.
Now lets also ask this what percentage come across the border or enter the country just to do us harm and under a false pretense? We provide green cards to preferred nations citizens while neglecting other nations who have persons trying to enter legally. Certainly many of these preferred nations are from area’s of the world where people have a hatred for us or are borderline in their beliefs. Also, these selected and preferred nations citizens have preferred access to aide of all sorts benefits to assist them here to get started in their new life and evidently so does illegal persons.
Now lets address the economy. Just today a black leader voiced his concern that Illegal Hispanics are lowering the pay scale and competing for jobs low income blacks used to hold. Blacks are still fighting for that $6.50 and hour job to survive and people are fighting them for it. Bybthe way who can live on $6.50 and hour? Your better off on welfare where most of these probably are. Well if you’re an average American one might ask, how high was your electric bill last month and we’re not even into cold months? You just might be keeping your thermostat set at 85 just to keep your bill under $300.00 a month. Think not, then ask many of the elderly. Did you need help to pay it. Go ask the charities and you will get the answer to that. They are being swamped for help. What about gas to go to work. It is now truer then ever many persons outside the city have to drive to work, just how much more of your pay goes into the tank and down the drain? What about real estate taxes, property insurance and just plain living expenses? How about that housing market. What average American can afford a home? You got it, those making over $100 K and they are struggling. What percentage are they of the total work force? Well it does say someone’s making money. Certainly not many seniors who are mortgaged to the hilt to bail out their loved ones and raising their grandchildren. They rich say there is a refinance boom going on, smile and cheer! What it means is aaverage Americans are leveraged to the hilt and dying slowly financially. This is not my idea or just an opinion, it is fact! The list goes on and on. People without medical coverage, one pay check away from the street. Credit cards at an all time high and the smug ones on T.V. who have the bucks and review the market brag about how people are spending and the economy is robust. Well if your one of the elite you already know what storm is just on the horizon. In my opinion their money is not here.
What about jobs? Well let me ask you average American just how happy they are with theirs, if they even have one. You know almost everyone does these days and they must be damn good ones when you read the statistics and hear about it in the media. You can't deny it unless your one of the ones still unemployed, working off the books, or two and three jobs. By the way who do you think get all those “good jobs" they are always talking about? You got it, not many average Americans. Just the other day a newspaperman wrote a certain southern state has very low unemployment and then, to paraphrase about the jobs, he went on to say these certainly are not the types of jobs one can’t survive on. His answer was why complain, at least they are jobs. Do you think Big Business cares for you even when they are laying off Americans by the thousands and filling the spots offshore or in Mexico? Did you note where the new Nissan Japanese car is being built - you got it- Mexico! They state it in their advertising campaign not me.
Education. Now to get a good job government advisors will say you need education or retraining. They talk a great deal of their programs No Child Left behind, FACT and the like but we are still far down on the scale when yu rank otehr nations. Think not, then ask this simple question to some-what is the difference between a Republic and a Democracy? Regretfully, the other word of the century, a majority have no idea. Many students graduating college with limited writing skills, can’t do more then basic math and have little to no organizational or logic skills. A fact many businesses experience but don‘t say. School systems all over the nation are looking offshore to fill teaching position because they claim they can’t find enough American teachers. Rhetorically, do you think it could be pay, benefits or the abuse they have to take, or some other objective? You ask what abuse? Well spend some time and investigate and you will know. Many of these people while good people, bring their values, beliefs and political concepts with them and teach them to our children. Why spend the money here when you get educated people from offshore who will jump at the chance to come here. Not so bad you say, well then your part of the transition taking place. Just look to the protests in the street and the laws being passed. Many are asking rhetorically why is it the Spanish language being forced upon us? Did you see the protests in Miami. They want Spanish to be the first language. If I were a betting man in my opinion I wouldn’t bet against that in five or ten years from now. We also mandate that our students take Spanish. Why not any other language? Oh, I know, rhetorically one asks perhaps they can’t find enough teachers to teach all languages? How about retaining and financial help. Ok, lets not go there, enough said.
Now let me ask the average American if you can even afford to send you child to college? How many of you think minorities get a free ride or help? Perhaps not all but in my opinion it is a lot easier for them then for your average American. As example, one illegal just graduated from an Ivy League school and is going to become a Rhoads Scholar and had the nerve to tell Americans we need him! He broke the law, is not even a citizen and he got an education most of us would dream our children could have and we need him. Perhaps I missed something but does that speak to his values or not? Do you know that if you children apply for aide when under 24 our government takes the parents income and lumps it in with the child’s even if the child lives on their own and pays their own expenses? Needless to say if you make over $24,000 you have too much. Your too rich to be considered poor and too poor to be considered Middle Class. You a NEP, Non Existent Person. You know what kind of help you get don‘t you? Yes, you guessed it zero! Their government paid for their education. Even when your child lives on poverty wages they get zero help! The government wants to know how you did it because you made so little. It’s called sharing an apartment and expenses with multiple people and using what little savings you had. One asks rhetorically, is that hard to understand when your in government or are you always looking- like that big retailer- to find a thief? Also, do you know what you have to go through to prove you are a citizen even when born here. If you were illegal all you have to do is give them that phony I.D. and your on the way. A citizen however, has to prove you’re a resident when you were in fact born here, have a Drivers License, a permanent legal address, graduated from a local High School and have been living on your own for three years with a lease in a state city. One might ask rhetorically, are illegal workers asked the same when they get a job? Finally, what about student loans? These loans are given by major lenders and it leaves your child or you or both in debt for thousands of dollars right after they hand you the diploma. Of course our President said he would not raise the rates on student loans - ok “read my lips“ to quote another famous politician! Also, how many great jobs are out there? Go ask the neighbors kid who just graduated and is unemployed or working for minimum wage.
We, I’ve said most of this in varied formats and articles over time and it matters little. One can go down the list and on and on and one can come to that line that says it all to us average Americans. That is when we hear our politicians speak these famous words “and so my fellow Americans" and these average Americans begin to understand when they hear that it will cost them some more somehow and somewhere. In the opinion of many we are slowly becoming Americans by map boundaries only, not ideals or values anymore.
So rhetorically speaking do you average Americans really believe our representatives have our interests at heart, or perhaps it is possible it might be something or someone else? One must then ask if your satisfied with the state of the world today and your own circumstances? If you agree or disagree it is for you to decide. Voting day is your chance to keep it like it is or change. We all have a choice, take it or leave it but don’t complain! Respectfully!

I NEED TO KNOW NOWPlease log in to respond to this comment.I sincerely appreciate your comment and do apologize if you were confused by my referral to "representatives". There was a certain assumption made persons understood America's election process and who their representatives are, since as a free nation we elect them every so many years. Since your reply does not indicate a knowledge of that process I do hope this answers your question and may peace and mercy be with you! Please log in to respond to this comment.
