Tolerance and the End of Days

The title speaks to what I have been writing to on my site and others. Certainly this venue allows for a diversity of beliefs and expressions. It is a true example of the varied and different views of not only the participants but I believe as a microcosm of the world.
So, as many who know my works understand I write to that which is most likely the very small percentage who hold similar views. Yet, strangely regardless if you believe with me or not others of similar views if not religious are the many in number who believe that we as a planet are heading toward some type of super event. Many believe 2012 may be the year.
My understanding is from my perspective but I think it applies to everyone. The key word I focus on is Tolerance. Of course when I use that term I am not talking about taking some ones eye out, or stoning or any other activity that harms another human directly or indirectly to cause injury, death or anything else. No, I am talking about what a person chooses to believe as their faith. Yes and to do that would be the opposite of true love. It is one simple word that I believe if implemented would bring major changes to the world, our ability to interact and live side by side in Peace and yes Security.
I must admit and using myself as an example, having the concerns for many in my own mind I certainly propagate my perspectives and beliefs. I do believe I try not to force anyone to believe what I offer but merely present it firmly. That I merely point out what I believe. I believe I respect the beliefs of others while reserving my right of decent. At least I hope I do and if not I sincerely apologize.
This allows me to share while also considering what others believe, accepting or rejecting as I see fit while accepting their right to reject. Respecting that right to differ and live as they want to without imposing on them or they on me. This is true freedom, democracy, respect for each other. It is a TOLERANCE that allows us to live, work, play, side by side in harmony.
When this does not occur we have exploitation, abuse, quarrels or worse, anger, war, death and all the other evils associated with man. So, as a believer in God as the great multitude profess to be I do believe God wishes us life more abundantly but not in the material sense. No in a spiritual, tolerant way that we can truly live side by side with love, not physical but a love for each other as unique creations. This seems to be the great lesson of mankind that is always overlooked.
In closing I do believe we have a CHOICE. I also believe that CHOICE will dictate what happens not only to us as individuals but to the world as a whole. Perhaps before it is too late we can take the lesson from all who prophesied to learn to Tolerate and accept one another and to live in peace and harmony as men before we have no other options left?

Top-level comments on this article: (1 total)Please count me in that small percentage and I will shout aloud MARANATHA!!!! Mick and I have spoken just this week about the possibility of being martyrs etc. And spoke with an old YWAM friend that just because Rapture might happen doesn't mean that we can't be in the midst of persecution or even martyrdom before that time. Bottom line: BE READY for whatever is coming down the pike - stay close to the Lord Jesus Christ and do not be "unaware".....keep writing and praying many will have ears to hear and eyes to see - I think the time is getting SO short! Please log in to respond to this comment. Thanks for reading. I of course feel the events of the age signal the return of Christ. I also feel that many will not believe and many will have to go through the Tribulation. That there is only one blowing of the horn and that comes at the very end of time. I have written to this in another article awhile back. Keep in prayer with the Our Father and also Psalm 91. Very significant and strong in this day and age. Blessing,Please log in to respond to this comment.
