Time To Say Goodbye.

Posted: Friday, April 03, 2009

by straight talk

Yes as that beautiful song says so clearly, the signs are evident, the responses firm, the ballets cast. It is time to say goodbye. What I write to may be truth and reality but it is not popular. The intent of writing, regardless of what one says is to project your thoughts, be it in multiple formats and literary style as well as your opinions and beliefs to as many people as possible. When those clash with the majority in any venue then you are not making a statement any longer you are merely filling pages with thoughts few are interested in. Yes truth is consistent, it never changes and it only has value to those who can accept truth. In that aspect alone times are a changing.

The facts are that what I write to impacts millions and the facts are also clear as day, that is unless they complement the current perspective they are not welcome. That the perspectives of those in this nation have dramatically changed even over a few short years since I started to write. It is an amazing confirmation for me. So writers may be tolerated, they may be necessary, they may even fill a need or purpose, yet when they do not add anything of value for the readers it is Time to say goodbye.

So in review of the last 6 months it really is Time to say goodbye. New opportunities await and all the best to all of you for the thousands who have read my work and responded. I realize I am not alone. I have discovered new talents and made new friends and of course enemies. To Jean and Bruce all the best and thanks for their kindness and help, good people. I will endeavor to write from time to time for them. Perhaps a few who enjoy my work will take the time to read and comment when that happens. Best wishes! Good luck! We all need it in the days ahead.

Hello Robert, I am truly sadden that you are leaving SearchWarp. I mean that from the bottom of my heart. The short amount of time that I have been on this forum, I have admired your extreme intelligence, and your brilliant research that you do on the subjects that you write about. I have learned a host of thing from you that I consider myself "well informed" when it come to the days events. You have become to me, what Paul Harvey was to America, when it come to keeping us abreast of current news, both in politics, and a in-depth knowledge of the religious sector of humanity as well. I for one, will miss your well written, and well informed articles. Your tongue in cheek humor, (Remember when I wrote the article about "If you had to write about something specific, you said SEX, because it is something everybody does, and talks about, ) I have to be honest with you my friend, I was rolling on the floor when you gave that answer. That is sincere comedy!! I must admit, that I am in no way, as informed as you are about what you write about, but I do learn by it. You do impact people. You did  on me, and I know that although I am not the majority, I sincerely appreciate your work. Perhaps if you wrote about SEX or added the word in your articles...you would draw like a magnet?? Ha Ha. You know I'm joking of course. But you encouraged me to become involved. I do write the white house, and my Congress person and my govonor...(I personally cannot stand her) but I do write although with her, it falls on deaf ears. Complacency, that is the word you used in your answer to Teresa, I fear you are right my friend. People just don't think that one voice would make a difference, little do that know, that coupled with 3 million other voices, IT REALLY DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE!! I am sadden that you are leaving. Our Paul Harvey of SearchWarp!! What are we going to do without one of the greats? I will miss you my friend, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart. I want to express my sincerest "thank you" for the support you have given me, as it has always meant allot to me. I know that one day soon, it will be my time to say goodbye as well...as my ratings are not where I want them. But hey, from what everybody tells me, they mean nothing...(so why do they even have them)? lol....Oh well.....Sorry, I have a tough time saying good-bye.....so all I will say in closing is ........ God bless, and if you can...email me and let me know where you will be, and I will come and read your articles!! I will hope that you drop a article here every now and then so I can read your work here as well.....your friend, and fan.....Gary.

Gary, my dear friend, I am entering a new period of my life and as a believer my writings are to tough subjects and topics that do strike home. They are not for all but necessary as I see it. I say what many are afraid to say and hence we have what we have. I will however,  be writing on my blog site as defined under my religious articles in the hopes of reaching people interested in the End Times. This was never intended to be the venue for this. Check out my location on one of my religious articlces. I cannot post them in this reply. I will also not completely severer my relationship with these two wonderful people. However, I have found the reader base distant from my beliefs except for those who follow me faithfully and your use of the term complacency is exactly why I have pondered this. Yes you and a few others have taken action but for the most part my perspective entirely different from the majority on this site. One cannot expect it to reach all or be accepted by all but one has to recognize that to reach those you desire to reach.  In my opinion writing is supposed to be informative and stir when it is about the topics I write to. I do have a large following and I hope to continue that with those who seek the message I write to. It is a message of our times and the truth is unfortunately wanning in this nation as I experience daily by many professors of good and yes sadly God. Hey feel free to join me there and look for a posting now and then, with deepest reagrds and all the best wishes for you and yours, Robert.

Robert,  in my head I hear what you are saying re: you are saying good-bye, in my heart I refuse to say good-bye back.  I just WILL NOT!!!  And I say that with deep sadness.

I have read just about all of your articles and since adding you to my fans list, I check out your latest articles.  But politics and religion are not exactly my strong suits, so I find myself unable to leave a comment that isn’t just a “token comment”.  I respect you and your work enough not to leave just a “thank you for sharing this with us” comment. Now looking back, I should have at least let you know in some way or another.

On the other hand, I do completely understand your frustration.  There are many Searchwarp writers who write about “deep issues" with deep meaning but don’t get as much recognition in terms of internal article views or comments. And you are right Jean and Bruce are wonderful in what they are trying to do, that is why personally think that lack of interest in topics like yours reflect more on the current collective mindset than on Searchwarp.

I have wondered sometimes what keeps others like you going and concluded God wants you to say these things.  I do not know exactly how God works and can’t claim even to remotely understand His ways, all I know is that for every thought/belief/religion/ideology/way etc. there has to be a counter thought/belief/religion/ideology/way. THE TRUTH lies in between somewhere.  How many of us really want to know THE TRUTH is a whole other different matter.

Most of us tend to stick with what we know and what makes us sleep at night.  “Swimming in the shallow waters of life” is so much easier because it does not require much thinking or effort.  What your articles ask us to do is THINK.  Not just think in our habitual ways but think beyond what most of us are comfortable with. In my opinion, acceptance of what you write is not about you but about the reader.  I personally I don’t think/want to think about the END TIMES, but that is because my understanding of these times is different.  All the same I like to read what others are thinking/saying and how it is different from my own. Your articles helped a lot!!!

I can honestly say you are the ONLY person here on Searchwarp who has shown sincere interest and concern for what is happening on HIV/AIDS in Africa.   I bonded with you on that front like with no other writer/reader on here.  Getting emotional here… but this is not about me, this is about you and where you are at. In some ways I can relate to your feeling like there is no readership base for what you write.  I feel like that when I write about HIV/AIDS in Africa... People just don't care (except you)!!!

I very much appreciate you not just as a great writer but as great reader, but I won't say goodbye, just “See you around, Robert…!!!

Christine, your comments are most kind and sincerely appreciated. I will say I do not intend to stop writing and hope that from time to time I will bring something of interest to Searchwarp. I, like you, have found things of the heart that trouble me immensely about this world we all occupy. I sense the hollowness of men as mere words without deeds. I have found that God has been merciful in letting me see the corruptness of man. I have always been "different" then most. Not bragging but different. My thinking, thought processes, the way God allows me to see things, interpret and understand. This has not come about overnight but over decades of confirmation of those beliefs. It has served me in business and also in life. Love is the core of my being and while my anger can be intense my forgiveness my reconciliation, my apology the same and heartfelt. After decades of ridicule, rejection, scoffing I now see what i failed to recognize. Yet, the bottom line to me and yes you is the evidence of the total and yes overwhelming lack of concern for our fellow humans by untold multitudes, not all just the majority even whiloe professing love. Yes even our neighbors and yes even our family in some cases and yes even in our churches. Yes and even while most of this world professes a belief in God that belief not represented in their works. Now if God who created all this must come back to rectify it, I or no other can possibly hope to do that, only God. Yet, it is the test of who we are as people, as a person, as a believer, to get up every day and try. It is the line in the sand, the fabric we are comprised of and no mere words, regardless how eloquent can make us good, decent, respectable, caring and no amount of professing can make us a believer. Only a trust that God is in control, that God has ordained what is to be, that man has a choice and that choice is decided in each individual heart where their works emanate. You, my young friend have the heart God seeks. You do his work regardless of what you call it or recognize it as.  If you seek Him, the true God, you will know Him and you will understand his way is that of meekness and humbleness, caring and love and yes sadly, the cross becuase trials are a sign that follows believrs. They are the trials of ones heart and as long as you have a heart it will ache for others. That you do, that you know because each day you pick up that cross and carry it for him and yes your fellow man. So my best to you in all things. I find that at this time in my life it is critical and essential I find a medium that will present God for all to choose in these End Times. I as a believer trust God's Word as truth, not man's. Therefore the signs he has provided must be talked about so each can discern just where they are in
their relationship with God. My dierectness is out of love for them that they may see what is truth not becuase I wrote it or see it that way but because it is truth, reality, fact and recognizing that is the only thing that can bring about real change or solutions. May peace be with you always and may God always lift you up on those sad and dreary days.  PS: I intend to carry my message on my blogsite which can be found at the end of some of my recent religious articles. Robert.

Isaiah 55:8-13: For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands. Instead of the thornbush will grow the pine tree, and instead of briers the myrtle will grow. This will be for the LORD's renown, for an everlasting sign, which will not be destroyed.

Christine thank you once again for your kindness. I am going through a period of great discernment where I Robert do not desire to be anything more then a believer and follower of Gods Word.  How many set aside His Word and follow after man even while professing Him by mouth. Yes and if we, laity speak out are we ignorant, some type of self anointed prophet, or self anointed pope as I was called, no merely a believer. How sad and yet confirmation once again. Rhetorically, why is it that only priests, pastors or prophets have a right to understand God's Word? I think not, and therein I find the error of all denominations. Thank you and once again, may the Lord Watch over you and keep you.

Robert, I apologize in advance for saying this, but I get so tired of people claiming to hold the right to God’s Truth while sitting on their fat-padded asses in gated million dollar churches and reading the Word of God from flashy large screens.  These people should try living in places like Darfur and other parts of world where “carry your cross daily” literally means CARRY HIS CROSS DAILY!  Where worshiping God is survival and not some stupid political right.  I have been to Southern Sudan and looked at the eyes of these believers and known without a shadow of doubt that they’d lay their lives down for Jesus without a second thought.  Many so called Christians can’t even throw in their dime in a beggar’s hand or house a homeless (for Jesus!).  It’s THEIR money, their political right, their individual choice etc. These are the same people who are angry at anyone and everyone.  The same people who take medical drugs for depression, insomnia, addictions etc.  The same people who'll crush down in a childish tantrum because they've not been given their 15 seconds of fame/popularity.  The same people who when they do something which a Christian should be doing anyway, want to advertise it to the whole world.  The same people who claim the right to God’s truth?  PULL-EASE!!!!

Anyone can quote from the good book, and anyone can “speak God’s truth” but until a so-called Christian (by name only) has been tested in works (Acts) and come out the other way like a believer and follower of Christ.  It’s a joke!  No wonder the rest of the world is laughing.  It's not even funny, anymore!!

Yes, exactly, only those who undergo the trial and maintain their faith walk as a true believer. The hardships we here in America are nothing compared to there. I appreciate your feedback and that is what I write to, professing verses believing. Prayers and best wishes.

Teresa, thank you for joining Christine and for your kindness. Even though many reading this article has jumped it is insignificant in realtionship to other articles. In that I based my decision.  Many of the readers thoughts frankly are not my thoughts, their ways not my ways, if God will forgive me for using His Word. The issues of the day strike hard and fast to the core of Christians of all denominations and our very beliefs. It is not about the practices of how we get to praise God and worship him it is all about what we do. I have tried to stir an awakening in people through my writings, yet if one looks at the few who will miss me in relationship to the thousands who read on the site daily I do not reach them. If anything that is my disappointment. When 82% profess and few are interested it is to me nothing more then a sign. Teresa if we, yes we who profess, we who say we are are not interested then there is no outrage over truth and there is no loud roar. It is evident it isn't and the tide against God is growing daily in thought, word and deed, It is not in what is said but what they do that the answer lies. It is time for us all to choose where we stand, that is what I write to and that is waht I hope to continue to write to.  Blessings my friend, be safe and you will hear from me from time to time.

Robert. I am at a loss for words--not the first time. I am filled with a sadness that is hard to describe. I understand where you are coming from as I have thought about this often myself. But then I have something that I have to say to someone--anyone--and I come back. Let the cards fall where they may. I will miss you at searchwarp, but will look for you on your blogsite. Don't ever stop speaking your mind--that's what is most important.

Best wishes and good luck wherever you go and whatever you do.
We are losing a great writer.

Sandra, thank you so much from a really good friend and fellow writer. I hope to come back from time to time and write something. Yet I have been motivated that there is a need to stimulate people as to this age we live in. Many are "Wondering Why" things are happening as they are and are perplexed and I do feel blessed that God has given me an opportunity to present His Words, not mine, in relationship to this age and what he says is to come to be. My zeal is to expand my reader base in a venue acceptable to my type and articles, not for my glory but for His and His alone. May all the best always be with you, Robert

Ken, you are right, not totally and yes seeking a larger platform for my voice and message for that is the essence of why we write. Jean and Bruce tremendous people and have helped in many ways, too many to mention, they will always be thought of fondly. I will not part from them and will write from time to time. Yet now I am focused on the messages I wish to deliver and I do not find, outside of a small minority following, the venue I was hoping to reach in these trying times. Best wishes and keep it up your work is excellent. Robert.

I have been down and not able to respond to a whole lot Robert at least not when both hands were broken. However, I know you are and always have been on fire for the Lord. Your writings have always been honest and from your heart. You will truly be missed and now that I am up and running again, I will look forward to seeing more articles when you do post them occassionally.

Hugs, love and blessings always

Michelle, thank you, I will be back from time to time but now as I discern what and where I shall write I am seeking what venue will expose my writings to the most individuals. People not fixed on their ideology or beliefs but free thinkers open to reflect on another's perspective and perhaps God's Word as He leads them. It is amazing even among professed believers how Gods Word separates even as Jesus Himself prayed that we should all be one. Blessings, Robert

Robert, I am truly sorry to see you go. I have enjoyed reading your articles and as you know, I normally agree with you and have learned to admire you for your vast knowledge. I really hope you will reconsider and hang in here, at least as much as you can. I had hoped to continue seeing your articles appear in Webgazine as well, to help get it rolling. But regardless of your choices, don't forget us and I wish you the very best in your every effort. May God bless you and yours.

Thank you Joel for your kindness. You have grown much as well. I hope to continue writing from time to time but right now I sense my audience is not on this site. The perspectives are wide. We both have received better reads on Webgazine but even there the numbers are disappointing. I find the posting time lines to my articles are critical to the number of reads since I write to current daily events much of the time as tied to God's Word. If it is not posted prominently that day the articles lose impact. It is as simple as that. It is a time where God is not popular and certainly morality and truth is relative. However, the message of God's Word  needs to get out. I know you will continue that effort. Best always, Robert.

Hi Robert - As you know, I scan sites for your written word and, although taken aback with this article, am not surprised - [You know] God is leading you elsewhere and, that my friend, is good. Your writings remain here for many to re-read and digest and for newbies to discover; you will still be touching others as you move forward and my prayers go with you as you are truly an instrument of God: a man of courage and conviction. As I've shared with you, much of what you've written has been confirmed which truly separates you from being a writer of vanity - you are a writer of Truth and as being such you must move on - I use this opportunity to also thank you, for you've opened my eyes and forced me to look inside which created tremendous conviction - When convicted, there can never be any turning back. I cherish you and support you  - May you always continue to bring forth the Good News to eyes that choose to see and ears that choose to listen. God bless you, dear friend.

Robert, I have only been on SearchWarp for a short time, and I have found it almost overwhelming to try to keep up with all the writing that goes on here. For that reason, I know I have not read as much of your writing as I should have. But you are a very strong voice here, and as you can see, you will be missed by many.
But having said that, I know that you will find your place where you feel you will have more impact. When one writes with conviction, as you do, there is no stopping him.
Please don't be a total stranger here. All the best and God bless.
