Not Through These Eyes.

A few years ago the wealthy "banked", [to use a pun], on the ignorance of the masses to do what they wanted to do and that proved so successful they wound up accelerating their model of what they envisioned for the future of this world to be and to cut the completion time line drastically down. Now many who are truly, " ignorant" they labeled and identified as the bovine and to that degree it has sadly proved correct. Certainly my opinion but one they readily professed, that is the aristocrats, wealthy and powerful. The bovine as I have written to are the worker bee's, the ordinary types, average people, families, singles, elderly and the young, basically the little people. In my opinion and to that end they natured ignorance and its growth through education, or a lack thereof, indoctrination and fabrication. They focused them away from reality and placed their hope on the false and filled their time with delusional activities while they plied their trade. Yet, not through these eyes.
Ignorance can literally make one oblivious to everything that is going on around them even while everything else is completely upside down and in disarray. They are in effect in their own little world not realizing until that world is shaken or disrupted that they have a problem. Yes and when that problem arrives that they are alone, abandoned and labeled. Much like the Titanic, oblivious to danger until danger arrived for the most part the majority of the poor went down with the ship. So to the ignorant their worry consists of the basics. If they will get to church on time, get out of church early enough to get a seat at the local restaurant, if gas prices at the pump will come down, if they will be able to play a round of golf today, if their utility bills will stay the same and yes hoping the economy gets better. Other then that the same old mundane routine.
While they may get a newspaper for the most part they read selective "sections" or writers. Their main source of news is the TV or radio and even then only those they "like" do they listen to and believe in. So their world is fragmented at best, truths, distorted or biased and from that they form their opinions and perspectives. They need nothing else. They focus on the unimportant things of life that gratify them.
However, these same types are forever asking why, and you will hear them use their favorite line " I just don't understand why?" Now if we throw in our indoctrinated, our young and idealistic youth and young adults we understand they suffer from the same. Ignorant of reality they thrive off of the doctrines, beliefs, ideologies of others. So much so they will riot, rebel, protest and act for their beliefs. It matters not the entire story, why, history, reality only in that which they know. While "educated" few seek or search for the "rest of the story." More content to base their beliefs on what the others have enforced they can spit it out line for line. They tend to follow the popular rather then the truth if being popular says so.
From that stems their own philosophy, much the same as the rest of the ignorant, uninterested uninformed, manipulated, indoctrinated but since it is theirs they truly believe it is not related to that. You see they are individuals, unique and they form their own beliefs, yea right.
Now they are offended, get mad, are angered when others note that about them. After all who are they to question them as being ignorant or their beliefs, perspective and if they are right. It is theirs and no one should question them. Hey that is ok with me. What I am writing to is how it is obtained, formed, created and blossomed. That belief, opinion, perspective. We humans tend to lean that way. Few individuals, thinkers, idealists most, the majority conformists.
Education, learning, true intelligence to me means moving past what others say or teach to seek on your own. Moving past the beliefs of others to form your own. Moving into the realm of seeking, looking, searching and substantiating by fact. Consistently evaluating and being open to other concepts, idea's, truths, possibilities. That may take a lifetime to accomplish and yet one may never reach the end of that learning. It could mean you come to an absolute answer rather quickly and you base your beliefs, opinions on solid facts, reasoning, weighing of outcomes and tangibles. The again where faith is concerned nothing, just belief. So, in that one regard one can understand in that realm people might question who says what? Where is the linkage, tangibles, proof it is what it is? Yet the answers to even that quite possible to the one who truly seeks.
Now as I look really deep at all who profess, wear the robes, hold positions of power, respect, authority, be they in politics, business, religious, military or any part of society I see nothing, really little, to nothing, to the few, that speaks to who they profess to be. They are as well ignorant but in a different way. Their works reflect their ignorance. I am not talking intelligence or education but what they do or don't do from within the perspective of their position in life be they great or small. The great having a higher responsibility.
Now many will argue that but the reality is there are few to none who actually are who they profess to be. Sort of a man of convictions, a person of integrity who one knows and can identify as being a man of his word and his word is his bond. That what he speaks he does. What he promises he delivers. What he says is fact and truth. That he truly believes and is a man of conviction. The rest or great majority sadly and in my opinion, no more then ignorant. Yes always professing, promising and even teaching, but little more. Yet we, the bovine, the little people follow after them while they continue to play their charade. Demanding respect, honor, and obedience from us for doing nothing of lasting or true significance. Yes and even many of we the same. Expecting it in them but doing nothing about it in ourselves.
So if we use the title in looking at today's environment I do not think it is far fetched to say the power of ignorance is all about but not through these eyes. It can be seen in the distress of people, our neighbors and friends and the lack or mercy, compassion, in the laws and deeds of other men. The lack of concern and a blatant trust in man, our leaders. Even the very same people who created this mess are the ones we trust to fix it, how odd? So to me it must be the power of ignorance at work but not through these eyes. To me it is so obvious that it is literally astonishing and to me it speaks clearly to why we have what we have in this world. Yes why all happens as it does. Why it will continue as it is. Simply speaking it is the power of ignorance but not through these eyes.
As I stated, you wills see signs of recovery, for the have. Yet for the little guy, the ordinary, the average American, you are, sadly by fact, reality finished. Yes destroyed you do not realize it yet and those that have do not realize it yet. They will but because they have it just will take longer to seep in but seep in it will. You see it is the power of ignorance but not through these eyes.
So sadly and because I am not of this world I see in a different light. Not out of disrespect but out of truth. Their works, what they do and fail to do. The great, and yes the everyday all over this earth. Now understand,c certainly not all, no, there are many who see, feel long for change but if you look as I look you can say as well Not through these eyes.
