Now in addressing this let me say first off I have more respect for the atheist who holds no belief in God then I do for the professors of a belief in God. They stand by their convictions. Yet those who profess and really believe mind you they re who they profess they are, well another matter. Yes really believe, you read that right. No it has nothing to do with sin, and everything to do with works. God knows the lukewarm well and He vomits them out of His mouth.Where your heart is so is YOUR God.
Now what about God. The churches all have charities and various ministries. Yes and they do help some. The key here some. Yes but they like the banks "qualify". Don't think so just call them and you are asked, "do you go to church", "how often do you go", "where do you go" or then again you may be told, "your not in our church", "your not in our district", "gee, you make a pretty good income why do you need help?" Now no problem in that I understand there are many out there who will use the system and they want to be sure they are helping people who really need it. Yet if you're a month behind in your electricity and you need help how do you secure it? Do you pay the electric, of course, but what of your car insurance, what of your home insurance, what of your mortgage and on and on and on? What of the sick people you care for? Why do they include all as income when in fact they don't make enough to live on their own. Not much interest in circumstances is there, just gross. Ask me my net not my gross and you will know just where I am financially and why. Now once again no problem with any of that but please don't tell me you help all with no questions asked, because many don't. Yes do you really know what the poor live off of and how very low the income levels of the poor are to be qualified? Yes according to government standards you would be shocked. No wonder they turn to crime only they become the low lives. Yes and we want to profess to be Christians. We want to profess to be Christians when our "NEIGHBOR" is being evicted, regardless of why. Yes when 50,000, as far as the counted numbers go of children are homeless and 50% of that under age 6 and you want to call yourself a Christian. Sorry, you don't need to like it, it is called conviction. To be who you profess you are it is called mercy not qualifying. Yes Where your heart is so is YOUR God.
Now then again we get to the media. Do you really believe the media? I'll leave you with this Paul Harvey cold never run out of the rest of the story because the rest of the story is rarely in the press. Example "Home sales surge" New buyers push the market up 27% along with investors. Ok if you have been reading my articles you know why. Let me ask you this. What happens when this dries up? What average, ordinary person or family or couple can buy a home? What ordinary average couple can rent a home? Need one go on? Where your heart is so is YOUR God.
Foreclosure help, really. Help for investors using our money to help push those damn irresponsible Americans out onto the street so they can buy low sell high and get the "markets" moving again. No more then that and "that's a fact Jack" as the line in the movie goes. Yes and you want to know why? Now those who actually make money off the sorrows of others. The bankers and lenders who use usury and won't renegotiate but will foreclose and drive people into bankruptcy on unsecured debt because they know when you go to court they will get something. and if not zip. Those who won't renegotiate because they know they can sell low, write it off and get all the breaks, while they cast people onto the street. Yes those that buy cheap and steal a home who help the system and then brag to their neighbors how they got such a great deal. Yes fact, and get this, they are our very neighbors. They are the corporate giants who go to church and sit with the elite in their respective church, kissing the wring, hob nabbing with the well known, saved, so they believe all of them, really? Then there is your local banker and friend who sits next to you in church. Yes some who even help in the ministries, education of our young, give donations and all the while forgetting the Widows. Call them on Monday and they barely know you. Yes Where your heart is so is YOUR God.
Yes Where your heart is so is YOUR God and that is the story of America today and hence the world. You know it is true, like it or not. There are millions of examples all throughout this nation and I need not point to any. Look, seek and you shall find. To me no more then another sign. To others, as in the days of Noah. It is written on the works and deeds of those who's God is money and wealth and "that's a fact Jack" as the line in the movie goes. So I end with this because I have written to it over and over and over again to no avail. Like Scrooge what a mighty chain one weaves. Yet like me, hate me, not interested, could care less, remember this because one day it will return to you Where your heart is so is YOUR God.
Now a few months ago I proposed an Action Plan for Christians based on Isaiah 58. I wrote to it and I submitted it to main line denominations and my own, to youth ministries and to date guess what, no response. Do you know why? Well it is simple if you look with open eyes Where your heart is so is YOUR God.
It means becoming one in body foresaking individual denominational beliefs for the benefit of the body, the church. Yes even as Christ prayed that we would all be one. Yes who is that one? It is the remanant from every denomination, walk of life, station, be they pastor, priest, nun, laity, In my opinion that is the church, the body. Will there be churches when Christ returns, certainly. Will there be professors when Christ returns, certainly, but, what faith shall He find?Where your heart is so is YOUR God.

I understand what you are saying about the churches, and having the banker friend sit next to you, who will barely know you on Monday. Or the RealEstate friend that you know, who will be happy to help you, and when you go and ask for their help, suddenly your not credit worthy, so they cease to be interested, because with you, no matter your financial situation, or what you can afford....or not, if there is nothing in it for them, then they don't know you. I will confess to you that I do not believe in organized religion, however I believe in the same God as you do, the difference is, that God lives within my heart, my chruch is where I sit, and God is always with me. I know what you are saying here, and since I do not go to organized churches, of those that have, I'm more worried about those who don't. God IS where your Heart is! My mom went to church at the Assembly of God, and I must say, they really did help her out, as she was well liked in her church, and she was also "needy" in a monetary sense. She hardly made a dime from her social security, she never had a career, because in her day, women stayed home, raised the kids, was a great wife, and mother, and that is all she knew. I helped her to move in with my wife and I, to lessen the burden of her finances and debts, so that she may do what she wanted to do, and have money in the bank. Well, she was with me until she died, and did she ever pay me back? Who cares....she needed help, and look how long she took care of her kids once my father passed away...she shouldn't have to pay me back, I would not have accepted it anyway. God Rest her soul. Her church helped me move her, to up a collection, and 4 men from her church volunteered to help mover her, as well as provide the truck. There was a wealthy couple of her church, that loved my mom, and gave her a donation to help give her account a lift, and paid off her bills, I would have to say that is the exception though, But God bless their hearts for doing that, it gives me hope for humanity yet...and restores some faith in churches to a point. Love and helping your fellow man should be unconditional. That is what my God demands. That is how I am. My up bringing dictates that as well as common sense.. I really liked this article. God IS where you heart is. It doesn't take a church to have him in my heart. He has been there for years. We can lie, deceive or hide but our deeds are what God searches for. He searches the heart. So what I write to is always deep stuff because the believer, they who love, honor and worship God are "The Church" and "The Body", nothing else. If you serve Him you do His works and at judgment that is what you and we all will stand on. The line in the sand as to who we really are. My trials Gary are to waken me to that fact.
