The Destruction of the Little Guy.

To express my opinion based on the realities of today's economy I feel that we live in a world created of and by the have. The laws they write, make, enforce, allow the deals that favor them and their allies and all their efforts are for one thing, increasing the bottom line profits and their agenda. It started in the early 90"s with the terms reorganization, downsizing, outsourcing and a host of other definitions that all said it meant we need to cut people, lower salaries, lower American standards. It came in under light. It was even called a Thousand Points of Light and what it brought to "the little guy" was nothing near light but dark and destruction. Sold as an answer to the worlds problems, really and still marketed today as such. Yes and they call that being educated.
Now Global is not a bad thing of itself. Yet when you remove fair from the vocabulary and you do not place American interests first then it becomes an issue. One must also understand we are talking about a world which was never ready for any one world system of man nor will it be in the near future. Need one write to that? The reality there for all to see on the headlines.
The truth, the answers, the deeds lay along the road of destruction and the path to where we are now. The disemboweling of America even unto our sworn adversaries. Fact no one can dispute. The light they talked about turned out to be darkness, despair, ruin and the concepts they talked about, fostered and allowed all added to the cancer they knew was there but which they left untreated. They fostered it, endorsed it and were accomplices by their lack of action, warnings, restraints, condoned and allowed. You see our national debt was just estimated in the trillions but what is not mentioned is the other portion of the debt never included in that reporting number. Whats that you ask? Well maybe you better look into it?
Yes and even now as they talk, words about helping homeowners the foreclosure help for the little guy already entangled with who the press calls centrists, really and get this in the Democratic party. Hey who is the bad guy here? I though they told us it was that Bush crowd? Just who the heck are these so called centrists and why are the democrats always favoring the bankers and lenders? Aren't they the party "of the little guy?" You know, the workers?
So please give us a break how much more distortion will we have to hear? Well I'm sorry, it isn't really distortion it is the perception that is. The banks have already achieved concessions they wanted and are pressing for more. Help, you know that hope word. Do you really believe help is on the way for the little guy? You really believe that, do you? What more can one say or write? Yes and banks have listened their borrowing from the fed which shows signs banks are starting to lend. However, what they do not say and shy away from is who are they lending to? Do you think it is the "irresponsible"? Yes the good news starts slowly now how surprising.
Now I also find it interesting that one of the principals this nation was founded on was the right to own guns and land. That is property a home. Those two aspects are and were the rock this nation was founded on. Can we say this is under attack even as I write? Take away those two elements and you are basically back to democracy only, if that? So who owned the land in Europe and elsewhere and do in foreign nations? Oh, now your waking up, the wealthy. Think not then follow what is happening in South America. Perhaps coincidence you say and I offer follow the path and you will have your answers.
So to we, the little guys, those who do not have evidently the wherewithal to understand, grasp, know these comprehensive and complex matters, it matters not. Yes, those Joe six packs. Just give them a beer, a burger and a great deal on cable TV, which they can't get because their credit is bad and they'll be happy. Hey they may even lose TV with the new conversion of signals but be happy, yes they can still get their beer even if that All American Company is owned by foreigners.
Then there are those who had and have nothing but are promised something. Well hey something is always better then nothing so lets see what else they are going to give us. Those who are, well, just plain ignorant, uninformed, and don't know a damn thing about reality, well nothing bothers them short of their check not arriving or being shorted. They only come out on the first and the third you know. Yes and finally those that have. Who's only mission is more. Their God evidently the God of more, their goal more and their entire efforts toward more. They are who currently rule the roost.
So the destruction of the little guy, the ordinary, the average is in my opinion complete. Now here is the sad part for those that have. You see they may gloat in the stealing of homes. They may be excited about their new more opportunities. They are thrilled with this new president, eve though no more then a man but their type of guy and this same old Washington crowd we were sold as new. Why, because in my opinion they hold the same values. They are just like them and they know all they do in Congress is for them. Sure Congress made a few mistakes but they'll get us through, yes those that have. "We shall overcome", hey someone used that already, its a new twist now, "we will, whatever".
Rhetorically, with all the professing about God and love and America is it possible they have sold out their ideals or just lost sight of them? Then again maybe their ideals are shown in their works or they never held the same beliefs as, well, ordinary folk. Maybe once a long time ago as the fairy tales say but certainly not now in what they do or fail to do. Yes one needs not point it out because their works and deeds do just fine. What they do or fail to do answers every question that could even be raised and every defense that could be offered for them.
Yes and those who run from truth, upset by it, not caring to hear it or ignore it and would rather blame people who write to it as being the cause mind you of all this nothing could ever change them. These that write to truth, kill hope, really? They kill hope, my God. Look here is one big He Haw as an answer to that perspective. Truth is the way to real change and only that.
So the reality is The destruction of the little guy is assured and in place. Why say that? Well once again can you open your eyes, read, comprehend the facts and reality? It is everywhere you turn. The little guy, ordinary people cannot secure a loan for anything any longer. Their credit a thing of the past. The American dream for some foreigner only and that our leaders will provide for them, not us is seen every single day. The guarantee that usury will still flourish and they will be taken over the coals by those who force them mind you to swear on a bible to tell the truth and the whole truth while they, in my opinion, have hearts are cold as ice and far from the God they profess. If not this would never be written. Simply speaking that is reality.
Once again by their works we know them. I judge not the person, only the deeds, the sins. Yes, I have written and written and written and written and while may read me there is no change, outcry, massive letter campaign, mailings. No cry for impeachment and yes nothing but complaining, whining, griping or yes accolades.
Why, the answers within a few short paragraphs above. Those that have, well they are patient they will survive and recover and they will. The little guy, the family guy, the single making peanuts, well you'll have that $60.00 a month extra that I am sure they will take away at some point to pay for something else. Yes and just what will that do? It will put some gas in your car. Ok that is a plus. It will go toward food. Hey that is a plus. Hey it can help pay that electric bill. Yes certainly a plus. Perhaps the water or phone bill? Yes a thank you in order because that is help anyway you cut the pie. Yet it won't do a damn thing about changing your situation and that is really what is needed.
Green jobs, work, once again for who? How much does it pay? When will it come? Need one go on? yes and certainly we all have a share in the situation but only these leaders can do what is required to salvage it.
So while I get the encouragement from some to write I ask myself, just how many really give a damn? How many really are who they profess to be? Yes and sadly, in fact depressingly, few to none comes back loud and clear every single day.
Hey, The destruction of the little guy assured. Yes and sadly at the hands of their neighbors and fellow Americans. Now here is the answer pure and simply speaking - end sin and we have a chance.

Top-level comments on this article: (1 total)Robert, well said, and true. It's easy to complain, but what is being done on the part of the little guy that this is affecting? Nothing. Even the little guy is not writting to this, nor protesting, or sending their protest in writing to the "Hill". These that have, throw them, and I, a few bread crumbs from a major 5 course dinner, and call us happy. I know exactly what you are saying, I find it sad, the even the little guy isn't taking a more active role in the protest. Why is that? Laziness, the thought that their opinions will not count, on the leeterboard of being heard? I masses they will be heard, but the masses have to be there in this writers opinion, the ruin of the little man, will be their fault , as much as it is of those who have...only because the little guy is doing absolutely nothing but complaining, and is it ignorance that compels them to do nothing? To be heard? Perhaps. But the fact remains, and you said it yourself, that unless we do something in mass letters, protest, we are in for ruin. And I do agree that if sin is killed, then and only then, will we have a chance. Always a pleasure to read your articles, and I do agree that something has to be done, as you know, I am active in sending the letters. I just sent one day before yesterday to the hill on an issue that is of concern. How do they reconcile it in their hearts? Well one must think deeply as to why no concern? I have written many an article to just this question since it alludes me as well given 82% of us profess to be believers. I do believe these are the possible reasons as I explored in earlier articles. First the facts are that what is happening in my opinion has to be. The second is that the little guy is so busy hanging in there they do not have the time, knowledge or resources. Like many if us they are busy trying to survive and really without communication skills or capabilty. Sadly they are in effect many times the ones who don't vote and really do not know the issues or the people in power. That is 50% of America who allow others to vote and elect these politicans. The third thing is those that have money and wealth love what is happening and still believe in these leaders. Concerned but not yet at the same point as we. They only want to stop losing money. Then again they are either not interested or ignorant, one or the other. I suspect the last. Now why that? Just confron many Americans and the answer clear as day. One in ten know as we do. They also depend on the media which is all part of the misinformation process. Many of them also do not use the Internet nor a computer. I also believe it speaks directly to the character of the nation. We seem to more of a nation of professors then doers. All we can do is to continue to press the concerns.
