straight talk

Our President before Congress.

As our new president stood before all the branches of government we heard these words, "we will recover" just who is our new president talking to and about? Many ordinary, average Americans are dead financially or going, going, gone. Now certainly I do not expect this to be received favorably because after all we get excited and hope for the best. Lets give him a chance, sure but can he pay the bills until that help arrives? As for me I'll jump after I see the hope fulfilled.
Sadly many wish to listen to the media, who in my opinion are no more then propaganda merchants who feed the ideology they all believe in? I couldn't help but notice as the camera's scanned the room full of that same old Washington Crowd, those who are members of the "new" cabinet and Congress. Yet by fact veterans of the same Washington establishment we have had for decades. Your elected representatives, state by state. Yes those you put into office.  We saw them and we recognized their deeds. How can we forget them? We heard a lot of cheers and applause and we will, we will, we will and yes we will, and that is truly the hope of all Americans but no more then hope for millions.

Yes we will tax the rich but not you, of course, not a dime. Yes and we gave back a tax credit to 95% of American families. Just who are the 5%, do you know? Those making over $250,000 a year. We heard of cuts to the military and one might ask a simple question to what? We don't have enough now and we have lowered our standards continually to even meet enlistment goals. What happen to their words quality not quantity?

However, it struck me with all the hoopla that reality never seems to sink in. What do I mean? Well are ordinary, average Americans expected to hurry out to buy that new car, that is if you haven't been destroyed financially already and we all know the answers to that. Yes and that new home, that is if you saved enough for the down payment, you have credit and you qualify? Do you really think average and ordinary Americans are not in a world of hurt. Now the poor, well anything they get a bonus, happy, cheering. Yet those becoming the new American poor just what do they have to be happy about? Can anyone give me a logical, common sense explanation as to what this stimulus;us will do for them. No I mean really do?

Just who do these politicians talk to? Better yet just what the hell are they thinking? Ordinary Americans is the term our president used. Who the hell are ordinary Americans? Did they ever define who these "working people" are? Are they the ones who make $95,000 a year or even $60,000 a year when annual earned income gross for a family of four is way below those numbers and under $50,000 a year? What ordinary Americans does he or they have in mind? Is he talking to those who he defines as middle income Americans? Are they the "ordinary." Yes and honesty and accountability will be implemented and they are committed to it, really. Rhetorically, we must have had a nirvana in the halls of Congress? These people of professed honor and integrity who have run the show for decades and brought you all you have and are experiencing and you trust explicitly. Yes even while the lobby money pours in. Hey you elected them, every single one who voted. That is the 50% who do and yes you 50% who did nothing.

We heard the talk and rhetoric we have always heard and we heard them talk of credit as the key mind you to recovery. Did they talk of who that recovery was about? Certainly "the American people. It was all about people. Yes those who are "responsible", which is a nice way of saying have and can qualify. It is trickle down all over again. The concept those that have will get help for their business and hire people and all will love happily ever after. Yet that concept went to the grave with that dead president. These people are the me and bling crowd and in my opinion and by the signs all about,  that is why we have what we have. Yes and what do you see these jobs paying? These small business jobs? It is like the MLM craze that swept the nation a decade ago. Everyone getting rich on the list of 100 and the government touting the large numbers of new businesses, yea, right.

Now don't get upset with me for voicing reality or fact. If your in that group go ahead and cheer. Yet if your one of the millions of Americans this provides little to nothing for you so just what the hell are you cheering about? That $65.00 a week more you cheer about? Reality once again, is going to change your economic plight? If you are working in one of the 20 odd  right to work states where they tell you die at your desk but if you go to the hospital your fired. Is that about YOU?  Do you really believe it is about ordinary people, really, you believe that?

So yes I looked at the same faces in the crowd, your hero's those who passed stiffer bankruptcy laws, who support comprehensive immigration, who allow usury to flourish, who incorporated right to work legislation, who gave away our jobs and still are, who made the deals that favor our sworn enemies and  who by nature of their deeds show who they are, really are and I say, these are yours, your very own. You believe them, you elected them, you have reaped what you have sown and you while upset are evidently concerned you are happy with them and your lot.

Like I said those 50% of you who did nothing, well you just saw the frat house at its best and that you allowed as well. All shaking hands smiling and in fear of Joe because we all now how tough Joe is, right? He really isn't, just ask any lobbyist.

Yes we need help. That help could have come at little to no expense to all Americans but it didn't and it won't. That term responsible buzzing throughout the room sent a very clear message to those who comprehend and that evidently is not many? They know who that is directed to. While your directed away to the bling boys what was really said buzzed through your ears. Yes that old time Washington Magic.

Mind you we ordinary, working, average  Americans all over this land want them to succeed but why the hell can't they get it right and do what common sense dictates? The talk of hope for us all, the facts, the reality of their deeds.

Let us see if this is the time to be worthy to perform, let us see. The results the proof of the pudding. Oh and yes as I have been saying there will be a recovery. Even housing has reportedly Do not doubt that. In my opinion it just isn't going to be much for the little guy.
