To Sell the Lie.

Just what am I referring to when I say, "to sell the lie?" Quite frankly we did not get the entire story, the whole truth and nothing but the truth with the first "bailout." In fact the tired and worn excuses were they just thought it best to have unlimited access to do with the money as they saw fit. In reality I don't think anyone expected what actually took place, period, or did we? So in my opinion it was a lie and like everything else I have come across more of the same untruth.
Now the first bling bailout we all will agree did little to nothing to help average or any people even while it was sold as such. It was in reality evidently all for the big money boys. Yes and what did they do? You got it they partied. President Bush screaming we need help NOW. Sadly they got caught. The arrogance of it all. Yes and even while our ex president Bush stated his conscience is clear they were spending the money, taxpayer money on frills for screwing Americans.
Now that being said in my opinion we were sold a bill of bling and it was even pushed by our current President as going to help the economy and people, really? Mistake number one, it didn't. Mistake number two, his appointee's. Well you know everyone makes mistakes, right? Only don't you try with your taxes. Yes and the very same crowd he lambasted during his run for the office of president, my God, what else can be said? Now we are engaged in another bailout of his making. A lot of claims once again being made. A lot of promises and yes according to him a lot of hope it will even work. Get with reality, open your ears and eyes, my God what does it take?
I don't know why people buy into this, educated as well as non yet they do. We have reached the point that even he is hoping we have not gone past the point of no return. The truth before you and like I said a strong delusion. Look up the word delusion.
Yet to make it work and to sell a lie or delusion one must have the following. Certainly the chief ingredient is potentially a lack of character and all that entails and is comprised of. What you say is not what you actually do. We can also be kind in saying perhaps they are not capable? The next is ignorance on the part of another. This is a critical aspect of insuring the lie or delusion can be bought and sold. The next thing is one has to gain a persons trust. You do this in any number of ways which does not necessarily have to be proven, just accepted. A choice of words, promises, a smile, a pleasant way, the offering of hope, professing beliefs and values that one holds true. Next is surrounding what you offer with just enough truth to make it seem all right. Finally there is the preparation. That is the effort to make everything actually seem ok and that what you offer is good, when in reality you offer nothing. That in essence is good sales and marketing. We will throw in a free, got it? You buy the package by the exterior not the content. It is what marketing is all about, perception not reality. You hope what you purchased is what you perceived and the proof is in the product, the taste, performance.
In my opinion by deed they have failed to deliver on the fundamentals they talked about, right down the line for people and all we received and will receive is more for those that have covered in the mantle of "help is on the way." It is the truth and all one has to do is delve into it.
So what we now see unfolding is in my opinion a continuation of the big lie and delusion that "help is on the way." Help for who and what help? It is in my opinion no more then the gathering of the ignorant, the hopeful and the well wishers into buying what is in reality no more then ½ truth, fabrication, misinformation and distortion. Why am I of that opinion? Well the first elements are quite evident, ignorance for one. Many people today do not understand what is happening even when it is right before them. They have no comprehension at all. They don't care to know about it or see it or even to want to know about it. After all what really do they have to cling to?
I have written and written and written to it and yet few care to hear, listen. Not because I am right or say it because it is what it is, truth, no more no less. We are evidently no longer interested in truth. Just my own opinion and once again by experience. So people, the masses follow after like the bovine they call us. I do not mean nor try to be offensive yet it is astounding that people still believe they can meet in podunk Iowa or somewhere USA and give input to solving these matters. Look at reality, just look.
Ok, let us look at no pay, unemployment. Oh, he is going to give us jobs, really? When, where, to who? No jobs, can't pay. Oh, we will be able to pay, really? How much will you earn? When will you earn this? Need I go on? Ok can't pay = no credit. Millions ruined, can't buy even if they had credit to do it they can no longer afford it. No credit means you pay alright and through the nose and that is if the banks will lend to you. Reality check, they won't. They lend to those who do not need credit, the have.
So just who is going to buy? Many can't afford to eat, pay their utilities, their doctors, get the picture and you believe this stimulus is going to help Mr. And Mrs. average American, really, you really believe that? Amazing that people accept this.
This is in my opinion no more then a fallacy for anyone to actually believe this second bailout will produce large scale spending by the American people. How can it do that? These actions are in my opinion no more then to help those that have to secure more or keep what they have. The great majority have already perished into financial obscurity. Credit, or a lack thereof not returning soon if ever to the masses who fuel the vehicle. Hey just look around at your friends and family. No, call it what you want those that have will survive and prosper to some degree. The rest crushed in the greed that has consumed this nation. That opinion needs no evidence to arrive at. The facts speak to it all across this land. Middle America slowly eroding away, living in fear. The words of the day are now seniority and vested and save but not in banks.
To actually think, really actually think this is a stimulus is in my opinion beyond comprehension. It is a salvage and damage control plan at best. Who can get credit to buy, build? Who can afford those cars? Those that do not need credit. Yes and who is that? You got it those that have, the 20% of America left with something. The next are the foreigners who will be given those jobs that Americans have been purged from. They will buy, they will prosper. Americans, that is real everyday, average Americans, you can kiss your behind which is long gone..
Look if you can't read to an eight grade level and even if you can read but can't comprehend how the heck can you understand what I have been writing to. There is no help regardless of what they profess. It just can't be. Who will pay the freight? You got it, those that have because the rest, well you do the math if you can?
Common now, hope? The hope is right before us but it isn't in this batch. If they took too simple steps immediately, which will cost little compared to what they have already spent, there would not be a crisis. Yet, you follow after him and them. Yes in fact the whole world follows after him and them. Strange, now there must be a reason?Just eliminate Credit Card Usury and roll back the interest and late charges, etc and you will save millions. You will never see that even with this new fallacy bill coming they brag about. Too little too late and not for those already in trouble, fact. Check it out.
Of you who have go and guy, steal and make merry for this is your time and hour. Don't think about renting or flipping though, think straight. There is no one left to rent or buy. Car sales, please to who and with what? Like everything else it will be summed up in one word - layoffs.
Can we e be saved, maybe, yet not with this bunch. My simple opinion. They have not demonstrated this sin years and our New President himself has stated it all along before being elected. Not this same old tired and worn Washington Crowd. Yes the same ones he has in his cabinet and whom it is asking us for help with, really.
Now I will accept this is not a popular message yet it is not a fabrication. I can accept it as disappointing to consider in that we all need hope. Yes hope, but hope in something that is real, tangible, possible and specific. Yes, infrastructure jobs, ok, for who, when? Get the concept? They talk of help for homeowners, well I have a bridge for sale in NYC. It isn't my bridge but it seems many will buy anything? Get it, anything. I know first hand by fact what is coming by talking with my friendly banker. Maybe you should get up and find out. I'll tell you this, there is no help for those in trouble just those who have that may be falling into trouble. There is no lowering of what you owe regardless of what your home is worth. You will pay back every penny while we the people eat their debt, lock stock and barrel. Your hope in the magic bullet is not justified so don't build up your hope only to be crushed. remain diligent and if it happens it will be a plus. I'm just not holding my breath.
The article certainly asks comes hard questions. Yet the questions are not unreasonable and frankly they should be asked. If there are answers then let's hear them. I'm all for that. Yet where are the answers?
No you won't read this on any front page you'll have to go looking to find it. God forbid the truth be told. Someone might actually believe it.

Top-level comments on this article: (1 total)Hi Robert - you call it the "bill of bling" and I call it the "stimu-LIE" -- Although the same, I kinda like your term better... may I borrow it for my next article? ... smile... As sad as this whole situation is, this actually reminds me of the 1979 movie, "Being There" which was basically about what people perceive as truth -- As a person who builds advertising campaigns, I am fully aware that perception can be built from anything and I've always admired Obama's campaign - I thought it was done masterfully even if built from nothing but for a PR person such a campaign is a dream -- all smoke and mirrors and that's what we got -Only problem is is that this campaign is affecting the future of our children and that's not acceptable but... anyway, as usual, great piece, Mr. R!Please log in to respond to this comment. Thanks you so much Judi for your always candid and honest answers. Like you, when someone speaks to truth they open themselves for every sort of negative. In a prior article I speak to this very emphatically. It is to me no more then a sign, a truth that cannot be ignored and is a confirmation of my beliefs. I can count the number of readers on one hand. It is a sign of the age. Now we must go way past nice guy or giving a chance. We are talking our very own families survival. Not his, or theirs, he and they in power are long past what we have to deal with. His intentions may be good, his ideology in his mind correct to him,but in reality it is no more then wishful thinking. One world, really and for who? Certainly no the people.
