We Flounder Among Falsehood, Fabrications and Misplaced Hope.

Please understand this that as a writer I just tell it like it is. Not the best and certainly not the worst. Yet what I write to is reality, fact, the way it is. Change, all relative to circumstances, situation and people,. In "A letter to the Editor" I spelled out some of what this article represents. Of course I have spoken to it before in many articles and yes in another recent one. Certainly we all hope things will get better, that is not even a fair question to put to anyone. However, that is not the real issue at hand that I write to. I hope as you do in our new president yet he is but one man, a man and to do what he envisions in my opinion he cannot accomplish with this Congress. It is that sad. Hopefully our hope in him will result in change and for the best. That is an awesome task that confronts him.
What is so irritating to me is that Senator had in my opinion the audacity to say We the People needed to be more responsible. I can accept that, but he left off the rest of the story. Yes and then he set about putting in place the things of destruction even while feigning God and Country. Yes and from this man who is and has been a member of "That Washington Crowd " for a very long time and who in my opinion continues this same ideology of favoring investors and big business over people. Yes we shall know them by their works.
That brings me back to who is in my opinion "the darkness state", Florida. One third of all motorists are now driving without insurance because they can't afford it and this number is growing. No insurance, no license, no work. Now that's smart. Help it all along a little. This same Governor who has a higher popularity then Obama in this state has the gall to say we had a moratorium on foreclosures when in fact they continued and went up. Yes this same man who the majority evidently trust who says "work with your lender", really. This same man who heads this right to work state has no answer for the almost 50,000 more workers in Florida this year about to lose their jobs along with an already 8.1% unemployment rate and this does not count those no longer receiving, who have stopped looking and long gone off of those statistics We still accept our leaders and hope in them and approve of them? Rhetorically looks are everything?
Now some will say enough gloom and doom we need hope. Well once again that is all relative to reality as just recently asked on a popular TV show. If we are to hope then we should accept reality and the good news along with reality. Otherwise we have censorship in reverse. Just tell me the good things. Certainly as our new president said we have a hard road ahead. A very hard road. can it be done, certainly but only when we all recognize truth and see actions forthcoming that are based on that.
Thank God we have such a forum here. So let me I will give you two examples of Journalism. That is what the powers want printed or not, who they favor or care to present, what favors their ideology or perspective. Now I am neither taking a pro or con this is only an example.Example number 1. The Wall Street Journal was shut down because of an emergency. It seems a letter was sent to containing a while powder. Immediately emergency services came and locked it all up. Yet the Mayors office knew nothing nor did any of the city agencies I called. It was on Yahoo for 5 minutes and a briefkly on one well known station, then went away. I did not see it in any of the large papers.
Example number 2. There was a right to life march on Washington. I venture to say you will find little to nothing except a blurb here or there in the mainstream media. Now this march drew a considerable number of people yet little news. In fact the president did not mention it nor did he attend.
Now I don't know about you but in my opinion that makes a statement. Both evidently were considered as non news worthy and in that I rest my case. The excuses will be numbered as to why, but in reality Choice is a significant issue as is terror, reality. Once again if placed, where?
So what is the gist of all this? The question is in who and what we trust in. In Congress, well you should know by now that I have said it matters not who became president. Why, as our new president elect found out for himself, Congress runs the roost. Now the things he can sign off on he is. Yet on the major things that this nation will undertake. Well read my predictions for 2009. They
are well on the way.
Yet remember this because it is significant, major. Why, because as I have been saying this is the KEY, THE FOUNDATION TO RECOVERY. You need to grasp this. When they talk jobs, what jobs, for who, how much do they pay, when will we see them? I do not doubt there will be jobs but without good jobs you have NO REAL ABILITY TO PAY, with NO PAY you can't PAY, if you can't pay you have NO CREDIT, if you have no credit, you CAN"T BUY, if you can't buy, then BYE, BYE.are well on the way.
This is the urgency they have not addressed. Frankly the answer have been there and I have written to it. It makes sense it can be done but you know something it is not on their agenda, schedule or time line and "that's a fact Jack" as the movie line goes.
So while we hope and wait lets us be vigilant because our neighbors are dying in more ways then one.
