"I Did Not Compromise My Soul".

A very profound statement from a leader who has seen and been part of the deeds that in my opinion brought about the rape, pillage and destruction of families and people all across this land. Certainly his God will judge him, I will not. Yet the work of his hands, even though it may be well intentioned, is in my opinion and by the facts before us all no more then a path of destruction for our Republic. Yet, I do not think for a minute as they say "the blood is on his hands alone". Certainly the same leaders in Congress had a very significant part in this as well as we citizens.
So that he believes he has not compromised his soul is ok for him. It is he who took the oath before his God to place America first, as they all did. Not foreign powers, special interest, enemies, wealthy and powerful, or ideology, no for the General Welfare of us and our posterity. It is they who passed the laws, did not vote, allowed and accepted that which created this current situation. It is they who bailout the wealthy leaving Americans to languish and I am asked to leave? Rhetorically he must ask himself and we must ask as well, is that demonstrated in their works, because that is how you, I, we and God will judge someone.
Perhaps he truly believes in what he is doing and in that it is between him and God. Yet, when one sees, blatantly, the suffering and continued deeds that bring it about, when one does not act, condones and encourages, supports that which is the root cause, then how can one truly justify that in their soul? Rhetorically, how can one be what they evidently are not by their deeds? Yes, the fruits of their labor. Is that not what his own God says? You shall know them by their works? Is that what is demonstrated each day by any of us? I think so, good or bad.
I would only ask him, them and you if you feel the same? It is evident he does not have a problem, do you with yours? I need not an answer because each has to answer that one individually and each that believes will get the answer when they face the one they profess to believe in.
In my articles I have asked the hard questions time after time with few to none responding. The fact is as believers and for our nation we must speak to injustice if we are who we say we are and yes for our love of this country. I did not have to speak out and I expect not everyone to agree. I am just perplexed when many choose to ignore the truth. Yet that is not so confusing when one recognizes the age we live in and what is our moral, ethical and social standards.
Love of country and representing who you profess to be is doing something when you see wrong, harm, destruction, exploitation, abuse, poverty and suffering and greed is not a negative, although it must be percieved as such today? When you see your nation literally being consumed from the inside like a cancer. When one can deny truth and fact. Well that is one of the phases of a terminal patient. Yet speaking out, that is true love and at no time will those who don't understand ever know what that is about.
In my opinion I believe this man has a heavy burden to carry through his remaining life, as Nixon did and many of them will who have a conscience. I and we all who profess must pray for him because he is a product of his status in life, his indoctrination, his system and beliefs. I believe he is a good man, yet I also believe his approach is wrong, not entirely, much of what he did is good, but he trusted and was consumed by those he trusted, his earthly beliefs and man. I truly believe he is reaping what he has sown and having a hard time inwardly reconciling even though the outside he expresses otherwise. I also believe the same for the "new" people in power who are really more of the same ideology, like it or not, who have been part and parcel of this situation for years. The truth is before all to see. Yes experienced sure, but what came forth from their experience?
So I believe that If We the People do not get back to what our Forefathers brought forth on this continent, I stand firm in my belief we will be no more that nation they brought forth. Only in geography and needless border markings.
Peace and yes and God bless American more now then in any other time in our history for we are now in a very dark hour as Lincoln said "testing whether this nation or any nation can long endure".
