Alive On the Outside Dead On the In.

Alive on the outside is what we visually see. That which is projected to others. It comes in many ways. It can come in many shapes, sizes, personalities, ego's and trappings. That is what I call the Easter Bunny effect, the book by its cover. You know sometimes we usually purchase and are quite happy and then again other times we buy and we are disappointed.
You see the inside can be cold, empty, devoid, callus, uncaring. When a person is dead they are cold, stiff, rigid and yes corrupted. So in my opinion this society only cares about the cover, the exterior, the outside. You see perception, glitz, not reality or truth is acceptable. Truth, even while people say they want it, is in reality not something many people want. Truth can be hard, smack you in the face, real, but it is not a lie and to be able to tell the truth you really have to love another. That is the separator.
Now how widespread is this? Well in my opinion it fits the description of many if not most only they will never see it or recognize it. You see their heart never really hurts, I mean hurts, their feelings never really in anguish, their love for others, well simply speaking, none existent. Yes , having no natural affections. Words certainly, feel nowhere. Now where has that been said before?
So one can write to the things that are evil, a crime, wrong, unjust, greedy, exploitive things and get no reaction from these types. Oh sure, like I said, they speak to it, or about it. They even voice concern, and wonderment but it is just that, only conversation, a thought, a few passing words. Yes and they may even profess they will do something but rarely do and if they do never in the manner or completeness of what they stated.
They are in effect like "the living dead" of movie lore. They are all around us and we know them, we work with them, they are our neighbors, we socialize with them, we sup with them, they are even family and of course our leaders in every aspect of society, but in reality "cold as ice". They are only interested in themselves and if they do something for someone else they look to see what they get or receive for doing such. They literally expect it.. Like those who give in an organization but want a badge or letter to show how much they did give. To show others how good they are. Rhetorically are they that morally corrupt?
Yes and they always find an excuse for someone else's woe. The first to give advice and use labels like "irresponsible" even when they are of the same ilk or worse. Yes and many come as light, but are wolves. Yes they condone, ignore, justify and approve even when immoral, sin and crime.
So the next time you are out, look around, listen, observe. They are right there in society, especially ours. Arrogant, prideful, egotistical and above all dead. Yes, Alive on the outside dead on the in.

May our Great God and Savior, Jesus Christ soften the hearts of stone and give them a heart of flesh. Fortunately, there are some who are alive on the inside, caring, loving, a true helper of our fellow man. And that brings hope to a dying world.Blessings dear friend, TeresaPlease log in to respond to this comment.Teresa I knew you would understand the message and pray thanks, regards, Robert. Please log in to respond to this comment.
