Do We See This Possibiltiy In Our Society?

The first title got little play. Why would it, people run from it. Could it be me? Do I even want to consider it? Can it be a reality or possibility? Well a tough topic to write to but that is what writing to me is about. Write to the tough things that impact people, their lives dramatically. No I write this opinion after carefully considering just what a cult is. It is my opinion and I wrote it now before any free expression is cut off. You scoff, well we shall see. I also need to say up front that this is not about loving America. I have to say that because frankly many just cannot comprehend. So before I start to provide my opinion I must identify the definition of Cult. When speaking of "Cult" many think of it as being related to religion. However that is not totally true. It is also defined as devotion to a person, idea, movement, cause, object, or work. It stems from the Latin to cultivate. Do all belong, buy in, accept and do, certainly not, but many can and do. If religions can be labeled and identified as such why not systems, societies, a way of life?
Another example. Our leaders ran on the concept of change. Well now the new administration is talking "new". Yes cutting what needs to be cut from the budget once they get into office. Well golly gee, as Gomer pile says, why haven't they already and why did they even pass it. Hey they were in charge were they not? Yes and to think these are "new" people and not the same old Washington crowd is another facade readily bought into. Then again the talk about the "new" New Deal. Tell me we just don't blindly follow.
So what do cultists do? Yes they follow blindly, trusting their leaders to do right even unto death. They blindly follow after them and they condone, accept, willfully ignore and blatantly accept what they do, right, wrong or indifferent, criminal or sinful. It is all ok, under the leaders objectives and agenda. and they will defend them and their ideals to the death.
Cultists have literally been programmed, indoctrinated, brain washed and don't even recognize it. Of course some people don't, but the masses who buy in, no matter where they are, what nation or system follow the leaders from pasture to pasture. Blindly seeking good and always winding up with bad.
So how do we come out so to speak. Well we need to be reprogrammed. Well what do I mean? Example, people will pay their credit cards before their mortgage obligations. You see without credit they cannot buy and they blindly think, conceive, trust, that is if they pay they can still buy. Without material possession they lose their worth, that is their facade worth. Yet that only goes until the usury kicks in, the account is closed, frozen. Oh sure you can continue to pay, you just can't buy, even when you are under the limit. Yes and you can buy at 28.9, 31.9, or even 35.9% interest until that point is reached.
Are these people sick? Well if we use Germany as an example, we can probably say that about those who blindly followed Hitler. In fact the majority of the German people and others. So you see cults are not limited to small groups as many believe. They can be an entire nation or nations. In my opinion they are sick in a way that is not easily recognized and mainly denied.
So how do we break the cycle. We stop, rationalize, get a grip on reality, understand our circumstances and consider that material goods, wealth, while of itself is not bad, can lead to total destruction in many forms. We start buy buying only what is really necessary not what we would "like" to have or covet. That means walking away from the facades and grasping reality, real value, truth and not what we perceive, the package, The Easter Bunny, the wrapper, the cover, the promises.
That means we start to recognize truth, we start to ingrain that in our children, we start to see falsehood and lies and learn to recognize deceit verses truth, omission verses the rest of the story. We do this by listening, seeing, observing, researching. We do this by being and here is the hard part, who we profess to be as religious and just plain decent people. Wow what a concept. Yes and all who are captured by the search for more and more must stop and grasp what is really what we need, to be thankful for, and put a complete stop to frivolous buying, impulse buying, needless buying.
Will all do that, certainly not. Yet if many do we will send a message loud and clear. It is too late now for many but we can start fresh. Here are some things to remember this Thanksgiving day to help you out of what I call the cult of America. Remember if this applies to you or a loved one that this can be anyone of us at any day and at any time unless we come out of the cult.
1- If you still have employment. Many, like people who work in what is my opinion a right to work state like Florida and I call the Darkness State, show up for work only to be told they no longer have a job. No notice no preparation, no help. Yes the standard we will help you. Yea. Right. Yes even while they export your job offshore. Do what you can to maintain that to the best of your ability.
2- Be thankful you still have a roof over your head. Due to the backlog of foreclosures and the non credit availability to short sell or unload your home many are still in their homes waiting eviction. Taking care of mom, the kids, doesn't matter. You are "irresponsible" as they label you. Many are on the street, in shelters, living with family and friends. Take action now for your loved ones, yourself. The "I'm just doing my job will show at the door and they could care less".
3- Be thankful you still have utilities. Those friendly companies can show up at any time be it hot or cold. You know they have business to run. What will you do to secure this?
4- Be thankful you may be getting food stamps or other assistance. Many illegal workers get it before Americans and have less trouble, fact. Some Americans make way to much at $14,000 to $20,000 a year to qualify. You mean there are worse off? Yes some families in fact millions in the USA, go to bed hungry every single day. Yes in this "land of opportunity". You need to address how. You must continue to search for options no matter how hard or depressing. If it feeds it is good.
5- Be thankful you don't have to purchase any more of those materialistic necessities. Christmas presents, well that was a ruse for spending anyway. The fact you don't have enough for a loaf of bread is the point here. Walk away from the mentality of coveting. Don't nut the bling and it will resound through America.
6- Be thankful if you get help from a charity because they are overwhelmed.
7- Be thankful your government is helping those investors who caused all this to wash their debts clean so they can get this economy moving again. Oh, no, sorry, not for you, for them and those that have. You're already destroyed so don't expect much. Some help but little else. In fact what little you have may have to go to pay for Health Care. Remember in my opinion they are the cult leaders.
8- Be thankful for A] Your loved ones, B] your health C] your true friends, D] your families health.
9- Be thankful that there are some out there that care and feel for you. Not a hell of a lot but they
are out there.
10 Be thankful for our military who pays the price each day for our security.
11 Be thankful you are still in America. Imagine if you were somewhere else? The grass always looks greener but you have to wonder why so many illegal people come here in the millions?
12 Be thankful for those that encourage, help, open their doors, their homes, their cupboards. These are more then professors, they are the doers and you shall know them by the fruits of their labor.
Yes but more then ever if you want change you can make it. We did not in Congress and we will
reap what we sow and applaud them. Hey remember they did in Jamestown, every single one of them. Make a commitment, do not buy but only that sustains and is really needed. Save, save and saver and make sure you can get access to it, The banks well my friends, part of the mentality of the cult. Bring your children up to understand these times and why we have what we have and by who's hand.
The facts are that there are more and more falling into poverty and decline. By there own agencies admission our government says they are helping the wealthy while ignoring people. Their words not mine. If we do not help ourselves, who will? So now is the time for all us average Americans to be Coming out of the cult, America.
