Ok, Lets Talk Automobiles.

With three of the world's well known auto makers ready for bankruptcy why would we expect any different? They talk about how nice it is to have those foreign companies here in the south. After all the north is full of unions. Yes and the north went democratic, really. Great, these same politicians don't talk about union busting, low wages, take it or leave it jobs, they just brag about jobs. Well perhaps they should when there is little else. Assembly plants not manufacturing as they now call it. Parts from everywhere but here. A s they say, Capitalism, free trade, that is what America is all about . Is it really? Is that what America is all about? Yes these companies came here for one thing and one thing only, gain. Simply speaking may one ask, did unions come about because workers were treated fair?

So simply speaking of course who really can buy any of these cars much less what the "big" three put out. I had a GM product made in Mexico. The thing wasn't working from day one and I have the documentation to prove it. Go back and read my earlier articles. I won't repeat them. Profit drove the car not quality and not ethics. I know first hand and I'm just one who experienced it.

So here are some dealer advertisements right off the press. Free Turkey with a test drive. Oh ,we're sorry we are all out of those coupons. Yes we can believe that. Many don't have the 70 cents a pound to buy one so they go and take that test drive knowing they are not credit worthy, irresponsible types that McCain and Obama stated. Yes they stated. Go back and search you will find it.

Ok here is another, get a $10.00 Wal Mart card just for attending. You stop there and get the same answer. All gone sorry, we only had a limited supply. However we will give you $5900.00 off of retail if you buy a new car. Yea right off of retail. Give us a break please. Oh and your car well worth 1/3. You know how the economy is and how much can you put down and by the way fill out this credit application first. Why, to weed you out.

Ok here is the fine print from one, that is if you can even read it with a magnification glass, green type on an orange background, very conducive to honesty, $229.00 a month with $3,999 cash down and $499.00 dealer fee and the dealer keeps all incentives, rebates, etc. You can finance at, get this, zero percent with a 740 credit score. Ok what average American can do that? The banks don't even want to let average Americans in any longer and credit score, please. Oh they have financing, of course for most not all at 18% or higher and be simply late on a payment and find out what takes place.

Here is another, huge tent sale, thousands of reposesed cars and trucks, hurry in while supplies last. Supplies last. This guy has been running he same ad for over a year now. One might think they are not in jeopardy of running out of cars? Yes no payments until November 2009. Of course and we will add up that interest you owe in the meanwhile. Oh and yes "local and regional banks and credit unions will be on hand with millions [our bailout maybe] to lend. Get this Every Credit Application will be accepted. Yes and now we go to the fine print "all offers may require a substantial down payment or trade equity". Yes and every Credit Application will be accepted. It doesn't say anywhere approved. Simply Speaking, who these days has any equity at all but those who own their vehicles outright and in my opinion they will not mind getting screwed out of 2/3 of the value for a new car.

So to put this into even more of a perspective I find local media is using what I had stated a long time ago as the have and have not and Average Americans verses Middle Class terminology. Well there is a big distinction between average and middle class income. Yes about $40,000 and when they speak of help it is all about helping the Middle Class not average people. No they are not one in the same synonymous to each other. No entirely different in reality.

So give us a break please, so once again lets take a look at reality, just who can buy these cars? You got it only those that have. So simply speaking, how many have are there out there? Frankly there are quite a few. I venture not enough to keep this economy going but quite a few. Latest statistics are about 20% of us. Of course they bitch and moan and complain but they are there none the less. They make their $60,000 a year and up and much more. They still eat out, although not as often, still send the kids to dance, gym, baseball and other activities. All have a cell or two, drive a SUV or new car, have a gold cart, live in a large home or in gated communities, shop at upscale stores and buy "name" products and take a vacation now and then. You won't see them carrying coupons. No and they go to football games, the Olympics, the Word Series, and have their "season tickets". Yes they can buy or lease the cars, of course.

Yet where does that leave the rest? Well simply speaking no where. They have hope and that is about it. I need not write about that, the facts speak for themselves and people really get upset with truth. Yet I really write for you who HAVE, like I say, wake up. Average Americans way past help. Here in Florida they are already saying there is nothing wrong with the word TAX. Yes more for schools, more for government, more for it all and from who? Well simply speaking YOU that is who have, who buy, who own, who invest, YOU can afford it.

An Average Americans percentage a pittance compared to what you will pay. And you know something you will be happy to pay. Of course you will moan and complain but you have it to give. Yes and government will make sure you do and in reality not much will change for you, you also hope.

Oh and yes those big three. Well I still believe they will b e bailed out. Yet what if they go belly up? Well they will shuck off the unions, those pensions and health care costs and all of those extras that keep them from making a real profit. Yes and they will reopen only without that overhead or penalties or stigma and yes they will pay less, take it or leave it. Yes and they will once again be credit worthy and in business. You, well sorry, your just an Average American. You suck wind for 12 or more years.

Hey it's the Free market, isn't it. It is what America is all about, right. Hey don't get mad at me, they said it, not me and you elected them so you agree. So do you want to talk about anything else concerning this "new" America? Retail stores, Health Care, what? If you haven't understood by now in my opinion you never will or care to. You will get in one hand and it will be taken in the other. Oh and you GM pensioners, well don't fret there are more industries to follow. It will only take time and then they can join the rest of us have not, irresponsible, not credit worthy, lazy types.

Hard talk, yes, hard talk for hard times. Don't believe me just pick up the paper and read the car advertisements. Let me leave you with this? Simply Speaking if GM, Ford or Chrysler wanted to sell, mind you, cars, to people who faithfully pay their car payments but have been labeled, they could. Ask the salesperson it isn't because there are no shoppers. The fact is in my opinion THEY DON'T WANT TO. Why would they. Do you really believe it is about staying in business. Well even with a bailout they can't. Read the experts.

Ok need some more? Just go back to Reagan, "if they don't show up for work they are fired". Sound familiar? Yes you wanted change and you are getting it, lock, stock and barrel and unfortunately you brought the rest of us down along with it. Yes don;t buy that irresponsible buy they sold America for cheap.

Robert, did you hear the latest about the Big 3 Automakers showing up in Washington to beg for bailout relief? Each arrived by private jets to the tune of approximately $20,000 roundtrip (each) instead of a first-class ticket, costing approx. $500. One senator likened this extravagance to a homeless man showing up in top hat and tuxedo to a soup kitchen. I will add, in a chauffeured limo. Their defense was as ridiculous as the statements made by the dealerships in this article.  Best regards, Avis.
