The Destruction of Any Life By Any Means Is Incomprehensible.

T he destruction of any life by any means is incomprehensible to me. In my opinion we live in an age of immense evil where the destruction of any life form is tolerated under varied guises. It really has been this way since the dawn of man only now we have really learned to kill in the most sophisticated ways even while others do not recognize it. In other ways we can do the job from afar. Yes much like the Mafia Don who had someone done away with but could never be traced to the act. Yes and many even do it as being in the light. Professing good and right and justice and lets not forget god.
Will this ever change? Well us humans seem to be hung up on that word change. Change for the good, change this, change that, change him, change her, change them, change it, etc. Yet what we get in return is for the most part more of the same. We are totally accepting of the fact that we can change the superficial but really do little to nothing about the cause or root of the problem.If you ask you will find where the root is. Go out and ask where it lies. Sure you will get money but right up there with it is the other, man. Hey they teach that to you in church man is intrinsically evil, sinners, failures and we cannot save ourselves., fact. So we know for sure because we are taught that we are bad. The only way we can survive is to try and change that. In that effort many of us fail, hard and repeatedly.
So people who try to change are labeled as dreamers, idealists, unconventional, foolish and every other description to basically say it can't be done. So in reality they are correct. The destruction of people evidently comes naturally. Rhetorically perhaps it is built into our DNA or BIO makeup? If religious we know it entered us in the garden.
It comes quite simply and although many try to overcome that which harms others there are so many who really just want to make it through life as best they can or accumulating as much as they can they really don't give a damn about anyone but themselves. This is their heaven on earth and they have no other aspirations or desires and some even profess mind you they are saved, so why worry.
They live for the now, coveting, self centered, prideful, boastful, egotistical, exploitive and certainly greedy. They are what drives this world. Ok its nice of me to wake up. I don't think that hope or dreams are too far fetched from us all. Yet what we do, how we attain that, what it really is verses what we believe in all plays into the game of life and it is a game. Yes and recently we even went out and elected people based on our hopes for change. Yes the very same people we were unhappy with. Yes fact but it didn't matter, we cling to hope and blinded ourselves to reality. Yes and it is reality, it is fact, it is truth. Yet, were there any other real choices and I don't mean the other party?
Now many do not face reality and now I know why. They really can't cope with it. They run from it as many do from the bill collector who calls and calls and calls even while they have been told zero plus zero is zero. Yes even as one runs from the facade of government agencies, politicians, health care practitioner's, mechanics who don't fix but give you a new problem, banks who shut you down and out and who no longer want you. The list is as endless as the sands on a beach. Why, they are people, humans.
Now do all fit into this category? Certainly not, but to say the vast majority doesn't is to be the fool at the highest level. Certainly we all think we are not who I am describing, it is someone else. Yet, if we look at our works, what we do or fail to do, the fruits of our labor the record is clear and cannot be challenged. Yet, who would want to do that? Who would want to know the truth about themselves or their deeds? No it is easier if it is always someone else and there lies the trap as to why it will never change.
So The destruction of any life by any means is incomprehensible, be it war, murder, suicide, neglect, abuse, ignoring, mental duress, exploitation, financial ruin, mediocrity, poor care, lack of food, clothing, shelter, drugs and alcohol is deplorable. Yes, but sadly the only way it will really change is when we humans really change.
Well we all have our answers and I have mine. My only hope is really the only true hope and I will continue to look up in anticipation of that change. Yes and in the meantime I will place my trust in no man while working to make this world a little better in all I do each day. The fruits of my labor. Perhaps you might want to join me, perhaps you just want to go along as you are? Hey no problem, once again choice but in my opinion don't bother to look for change in man.
