For One Penny They Will Cut You Off!

I don't know about any of you but this morning's article on Yahoo defining how a town in Massachusetts [one of the most liberal states in this union] threatened a lien on a 94 year old blind woman's home sickened me. To boot they placed a $48.00 fine on her. Profession, give me a break. I have been writing to this for sometime now because I am prompted to do so. In my opinion only it is a blatant blight on our nation. We go to church, sing our songs, throw some money in the collection and then go home and say we are saved and profess a belief and to follow God. Then we turn around and actually do the very opposite day in and day out of what we profess and make excuses. Ok, humanity, I understand we all fall and fail and certainly I but why so often and have no regrets about it?
Throw you in the street for utilities, place liens on your home and take you to court all under, "I'm only doing my job". Frankly, who is in my opinion this a _ s? It is the epitome in my opinion of the level of competence and mediocrity that we have become accustomed to. That we accept and condone. And we put back into office, election after election the very same who have created this atmosphere, this problem and then turn our face away afterward with "they are all the same" and then continue with what we are doing. In my opinion it smacks of our character.
So when we who "profess" go to church, wherever that is, even in a park, your bedroom wherever, we humble ourselves before the God we profess, admit our sins, ask for forgiveness and we praise and glorify Him and then, get this, really, we go out and do HIS WORKS through us. Charity, compassion, love, mercy, forgiveness and yes we love. Is this or any of those which we see?
Now certainly many stepped up out of outrage, yet why did it even get to this? Please will someone tell me where those works are I just mentioned? I know it is out there because I have experienced it, but is it in those who work in government? Is it in those who execute the law? Is it in the workplace and big business? Is it with our enemies? Is it with each of us?
Rhetorically speaking of course, can the time of separation be now? Can is it blatant and clear, has the gauntlet been thrown and is a choice to be made. Perhaps not now, perhaps in a thousand years, perhaps tonight? Yet why do we live with situations like this, condone them, accept them, ignore them and yet we profess. Why is it people can be destroyed while the wealthy are bailed out, allowed to recoup and continue while people are crushed, and all under the guise of change. Rhetorically, how totally ignorant and pitiful have we become that we actually accept this?
Well, simply my opinion, profess all you want, all day and all night, every day and all year, but like it or not as it is said in Luke "Why do you call me Lord [specifically addressing each person ] when you do not follow my commands?"
Hey, a really deep one we must all answer, that is we who profess.

Lock yourself onto him and worship him. You will find peace, remembering that many in that church will seek high places and to sit at the head table and many are wolves in sheeps clothing. Yet there are many like you, only there for one thing, to worship God. Sue when I go I cannot even humble myself going in the door people will trample me as I kneel. Yet I go not for them but for me. I do not want to be just a professor. That is the ones who say very loudly "I go to church each week". Great, but do you do His works each day?
