The State of the Union and the World =

Now I realize this is the holiday season and many are trying to make this a joy filled holiday and that is my intent as well. My focus on my loved ones. I have written my Thanksgiving message stating just that. Christmas what it was intended to be. Yet while I celebrate what is real true value. People are reminded by phone every 5 minutes from 8 AM to 9 PM each and every day that they have a problem. Reminded of rent, car payments, car insurance, home owners insurance, taxes. Are you finding yourself in that mode? Zero, NADA, nothing from day to day? What comes in gone before you got it with post dated payments to keep the wolves at bay. Yes we are reminded how irresponsible we are by our friendly banker and by the wolves and of course those politicans who label us as such even while they who caused this mess they bail out. Is there a double standard applied? Yes and why wolves, well usury interest kind of speaks to that. Oh and bankruptcy, that tool these merchants of greed love and want you to do. Well simply speaking, they win, you lose. Yes zero, plus zero is still zero. Thank you all Mr. Obama and the rest you who allowed and made it what it is. Sorry, fact, he too, accept it or not.
So while all those enthralled by the election of America's first black president sit back and hope for change, as we all do, the realities of the economic disaster loom over us all like some ancient plague. Like I stated, the signs and symbols are all about and one does not need to rehash them. It is truly down to who has and who has not and the have not are growing in leaps and bounds rapidly.
Yes tmany were the same ones who just a few short months ago, prior to the election, were sitting smugly behind their coveted gated communities, safe in the knowledge that they had health care, a pension and social security to live the good life on for the remainder of that life. Yes their candidate would save the day. Yes these were also the young, bling generation, owning a home or two, multiple new cars, big SUV types, gas guzzlers, a boat, Time Share, and always purchased the most expensive stores and ate out. Content they had, like the young man up the block who now works as a security guard for minimum wage and about to lose his home. He had and now he has not. Perhaps the old couple who got sick and found out that insurance didn't quite cover it all and have now in the process of losing their home. Is there help for them, common now, is there help for them, ok once again is there help for them?
So reality is too bad the stores are closing, the boats are up for sale and no one wants that SUV. Hey the big three are suffering. Poor bastard's they gouged their way to where they are along with all the other "ALL AMERICAN" companies. Yes helping those "offshore" nations build cars, those that now have favored status with "OUR" leaders. What does that mean? Well according to the St. Pete Times close to 450,000 lost jobs here in the USA [ a lot if these All American Companies operations are off shore]. Yes and close to 5 million in related support industries and of course that million or so depending on retirement benefits. Will they let it fail? I think not but know this, even with another 25 million on top of what they gave them already most experts say they will. Yes and like it was a reported in the Times, Senators like Shelby of Alaska favor foreign car companies, hello Chinese cars. Rhetorically do you think these big shot executives have a stake in any of these foreign companies? No, not them, right?
Yes like gas prices suddenly dropping another farce. Yes and like I stated, have you seen the list of retail store closings lately? You would be shocked. Big name, well known and closing down stores and laying off people all across this nation, cutting back to survive. Survive what, the goose is dead.How about state budgets, give us a break please. Taxes next year will be even lower and many getting help now from food stamps to rent to whatever else will go without. What then? Teaching and education beware, you are next if not already. Closing schools and consolidating all about us. Pensions, who knows? Other government jobs, the same. Health Care, well who has it so who can pay the freight? GP doctors saying they will give up their practice. They are overwhelmed. What will they do? What skills can they bring to business? They will find out that piece of paper on the wall, just that, paper. There are only so many health care jobs available.
Charities can't keep up. Citicorp laying off 50,000 more people on top of 3/4 of a million lost jobs and unemployment skyrocketing, that is for those they bother to count and include in their statistics. More companies moving out of the USA for cheaper labor. Hey even the illegal workers are leaving in droves. Does one have to use that old saying "when the rats start to abandon ship [not disrespect intended] it is time to pack up and leave as well". How many remember living in nice neighborhoods only to see them start to fall apart as people could no longer afford to maintain their homes, rent them and had to resort to government placed tenants? Have you forgotten? They fled, abandoned and left leaving eye sores all across the town and subsequently nation. Does that sound familiar? Yes the greedy scrambling for their god $$$$$.
So why repeat myself over and over when evidently people can't see or don't want to see what is right before them. Smug in their security, their savings, that just may not be there or they can't get to because the banks locked them out. "Restricted they call it". Perhaps if they don't look it will just be ok or they will wake up and everything will be fine, all fixed? Hope certainly. The only thing we have left. Now I know it will change for those that have, most certainly. Too late in my opinion for those caught in the web. For real change to come about you need to hold your head high and keep looking up for the answer. Help is coming. It just hasn't arrived as yet.
Now here is the kicker that really is way past any belief and can only be answered with hope. As we look at this NEW Administration we see nothing but the old. The same old, tired, and worn faces, people, idea's, agenda that have been there for decades. The very same ones. Yes like Saddam's government the people in charge never changed until they were forced out. The people voted for the new, the same as here. Yet they got that new candidate but the old ways continued for years. Yes and the new person did exactly what the old person did. Was change not made? You have the answer my friends. In my opinion real change should have started with a real new VP selection but the answer came across loud and clear. More of the same. That is loud and clear for those who saw it or cared to see it. The rest. Well their agenda fulfilled now back to dealing with hope and reality.
Now don't get me wrong. If anyone has written to the fact the other guy was not change either show them to me. A few perhaps but not many. Yes McCain will now work hand and hand for change. If you swallow that see you at the food stamp office. Yes they will pass what they already have on the table as they want it to be implemented. Hey get mad, call me names, but truth is truth. Go check out what they vote for and you will see what they deliver. It is simply speaking fact.
Now simply speaking the answers are right before them. I have written to them as have others for years. Eliminate Credit Card usury, they won't. bring back the CCC, next year, too late for many. Yes one can go on. They can, yes they can do it now, they won't. ONLY to BAILOUT their own. It is simply speaking, the truth.
Those who have jobs and income and make it through the storm will be happy, content and satisfied and in the end make more money then they ever had before. The rest of us, well the rest of us. Read the signs. Maybe we should be following the rats?
