We Do Have a Lot To Be Thankful For.

Yes in simple terms we do have a lot to be thankful for and it all evolves around the truly valuable things of life and this world. In fact the only real things of beauty and wealth, family and friends. Yes and we, my partner and wife are still here to be with our loved ones after 35 years of being together. More downs then ups we still fight the good fight. How thankful can one be for our good real fortune, and yes blessings?
Yes we have been fortunate. We still have a roof over us and utilities, at least for the time being and hopefully until we can find a way out of this fiasco. Yes and we can still put food on the table, break bread and share a glass of wine, a laugh, a cry, a hug.
Now everything else, regardless of your stature, position, accumulated wealth, position, power, riches is meaningless in my opinion when you weigh it equally against love. So do we have trials, yes, tribulations, more then we ask for, bumps in the road, we haven't had a smooth ride yet. Turmoil, heartache, trouble, anxiety, yes fear and even threats, certainly, yet we still have a lot to be thankful for. More then many in fact.
When I hug our family, my daughter, put an arm around my son's, my nephews, my nieces our moms, hug a friend, just in general being with them, sharing as I said a laugh or even an argument and then to make up, it says something about being thankful, blessed.
Yes and when we remember our loved ones who have gone before us. Share the stories, the laughs, the situations, the love, it makes life all the more wonderful. Yes they can take everything I have, everythin, but not my love, my freedom or my family. My ability to give it and receive it they can never take. Yes and for eternity I will have them to share. Hey you can laugh, my choice and my belief and I thank my Lord this day that he allowed me to remember His blessings.
So if someone wants my car, take it, my home take it, all of what material things I have, they are worthless. Take it all because in many cases they are hollow, shallow, empty and provide nothing, nada, zero for the soul, my, our, their, being. Yes our family, our friends, those close and yes those who we just know from afar but we share a bond with they are wealth.
Yes and for those who fight and die and serve for us, theirs, not because they have to, they want to, out of love, country, duty, honor, belief, family, love. NO, not for Wall Street, investors, the rich and the powerful, no for US, US ALL.
Yes Simply Speaking, that is all you need to be thankful. Thankful for having more then you can ever imagine. And as Rick Flair the WWE Wrestler made famous, "WOOOOOOOO!" How exciting is that?
Oh and by the way, find someone less fortunate and share your day with them. WE all need that kind of love and that kind of real value.
