When We Cease To Care and Find Fault.

I guess we are all guilty of this at some point, that is when we cease to care and find fault. It seems to be always easier to find the fault in others and rarely with ourselves. Speaking as a Christian we are supposed to start with ourselves, sort of pulling the plank out of our own eye. My eye seems to be cluttered at times, although I try hard to wear the other persons shoes before making judgement. I feel I am open to hear anothers perspective.  I do not think that is unreasonable for anyone, just prudent and true to ones beliefs.  Yes prudence before all else.

Now concerning this election and our leaders we are encouraged to consider, to know, to choose wisely so in the act of discerning we are judging them on their work and not what we like about them that is the outside shell. Is it not the same when we are evaluated at work? We are to use the same principals of considering everything, making sure. We should be  focusing on the facts, not tolerate, accept, condone or ignore reality. Is that not how we expect to be evaluated or just be told "I think".

Ok, what do I mean by that? Well this election has created sort of a storm and yes conflict between people over who is best to run this nation. Hey that is what elections are about, the for and against. Now we will never change everyones views about what they think, but we can understand why there are those who like and dislike these candidates, the parties, our government,  It amazes me they who like them are in the minority but they prevail election after election.  That is way beyond comprehension, yet I understand apathy. Then we have those that hate for hates sake and could care less about issues, facts, truth.  No real reason other then they have been brought up to hate and many do not even see it that way.

I was watching a show concerning Afghanistan the other night. It seems that everyone there has a blood feud against another, they have for centuries. Sort of the Hatfield and McCoy type thing. Yet let a stranger come in and they unite against them. It has been this way for thousands of years and no one could really conquer them. They are a thorn in ones side. Now they are all extremely religious, practicing their way to heaven and they profess mind you they serve the God of Mercy, compassion and love. Rhetorically I find that very odd they do not put what they profess into works or love, the highest level of attainment in their religion for a soul, while they take killing the infidel quite serious. It is a question of contridiction that is a quandry for many.

So just what am I getting at? We are all creatures of professing one thing while many times doing the opposite. God, and I can only speak for the God I believe in, says to leave it all up to Him and let Him guide your way. He preaches even love of your enemy. Now how does one try to do that? Well, when we follow His commands and precepts, His rules so to speak, all our thinking is filled with love, compassion, mercy, caring. How naive to think man can do this or even will do this. Sure we profess it but does it show in our works, common now, only the minority.
So what is the qualifier that can keep men of all kinds on a road to co habitation. Well frankly I see only, reciprocation and love. What is that? Well another example using Afghanistan. We Americans have slowly converted many through good works, acts of mercy, compassion, deeds. Even Taliban,  are trying to live in peace but cannot out of fear if they lay down their arms and live a peaceful life they will be killed. Why, well I have written to this time after time and in my opinion nothing will ever be done, insufficient boots on the ground to hold and secure. It has been this day since day one with "shock and awe". Yes we are still in shock and waiting for awe. In my opinion, now speak softly because we will offend people, it is a failure of our government and others to commit to ending the war in victory. Will more boots cost lives, certainly. Yet is it not already the case with no clear outcome in sight and even possible defeat and a lost cause and what will be the result of not winning? The same holds true for Iraq. What failed there was one word, greed.

Now when we look at the destruction and disassembly of America at the hands of the few. Yes fact as witnessed today on any block in any neighborhood. The example of non care comes blatantly through. People who were once good, decent credit worthy Americans have all of a sudden become the irresponsible, not credit worthy because they used credit. Something our leaders demand the banks give more of. We are a society and world driven by margins and credit. Yes I will admit many have abused it but many just caught in the sneer of circumstances.

As for our leaders, they, yes they, made greed acceptable, condoned it, approved of it and actually reaped the benefits of it. The laws they wrote and write support that. The votes they made or didn't support that. The bailouts for their irresponsibility, yes theirs, onto our shoulders proves that. Yet many would sadly point the finger at others, average people struggling to survive, not splurging, eating out, going to the World Series. NO those who have no alternative left to  pay for medicine, a doctor, the rent, to fix the car to go to work, working two jobs or none at all. Wrong certainly when you can't pay, yet what are the causes that bring it about? We can feel for illegals who break the law and come here because they need to make a living for their families but have no care or concern for our very own, amazing. We can persecute our own and label them and then justify that to ourselves, amazing. When We Cease To Care and Find Fault.

Yet many who have may be very close to the same position as the ones they label? Hanging by a thread. So when one lumps everyone together as irresponsible it says a lot about that person. It really does. Yes and many of these types will vote for they who performed the acts that created this situation and torn this nation apart. Yes and actually put them back into office while hoping for more. It is that simple. Rhetorically, one wonders how they justify it? I think it all hinges around when We Cease To Care and Find Fault.
So our character as a nation has been diminished and destroyed as well. The four letter words, the gestures, the cursing, the disrespect, the attitudes, the mediocrity, the lack of compassion, mercy in my opinion all are signs and symbols one cannot ignore or erase. They are truth that we no longer care at the destruction of people. We no longer care, yes really care when children and elderly are homeless, lose benefits, are ruined after years of being good decent hard working people. Rhetorically it seems many evidently find fault with them because of their own success, wealth, good fortune. Hey look at me, I have no debt, I'm making money, I have a job. Yes for now.

Oh sure they profess all the right things. Why because it is appropriate, expected, it gives them satisfaction and comfort that they are right, good, caring and decent. Yet in the deepest part of themselves, in their heart which is the soul they know the truth. They do not feel the pain. No they voice it, but do not feel it. Now certainly that is not all, but it is far too many then a nation needs.

No, when we cease to care and find fault we have crossed the line. As for me this election will bring change but not the change many are expecting. Yes many will prosper off of others. Yet most, in their hope they will find little and what they find in one hand will be taken in the other. Keep in mind that the theory that democracies function on is credit. Credit is the fuel, the Middle Class, the lower income groups the engine. Don't think so, read about it see my last article on Credit Card debt. That is why all the focus on The Middle Class and not average Americans. Yes they killed the fatted class and need to resore it, for those who still have.

Now in our smugness we forget that average people and the poor are fortunate to even have a checking account any longer, if that. No credit for them. No it is all in the hands of the Middle Class. No not the rich and wealthy. They have demonstrated they can pass their irresponsibility off to you. As for us irresponsible, who cares. Well you will, because average Americans have no more credit, no more income, cannot buy and as you see now while some will make money off of the tragedy of many beware many of you do not join them. You see as sales go down and credit dries up for millions you just may join those who have not.

The perhaps you will understand why I say When we cease to care and find fault we have crossed the line.

Robert this is an exceptional article. Again, you've nailed it, the line has been crossed and with current mindsets, there's no going back. Change will come but I believe it's as you have said, not the change that is expected. Take special care, my friend. -Avis
