The Best Places and Jobs To Weather This Coming Storm.

Ok, here they are in general terms to keep it short.  Business reported in a recent article that cities which might weather the storm easier then some have these attributes. I thik they may be right about somethings but certainly not all. Basically they say:

1- Government towns and jobs most certainly. In my opinion that is until tax revenues start to dwindle and the politicians in order to save their jobs and salaries will begin slashing. So the number one town in the USA, Washington DC will most likel weather the storm just fine according to them. Rhetorically, would we expect anything less? The same for state Capitals and local seats of power in your county one can presume? They just are not going to cut their jobs or departments until the bitter end also.

2- Now another type of city or town is one you will know as an educational town. These have large and small universities, colleges and schools. Although in my opinion they may start to feel the pinch as money for education starts to dwindle. However, I tend to agree that in general people out of work will seek retraining and an education if they can afford it. So the larger college towns will be somewhat resilient. That is if there is money out there?

3- Energy producing states might  weather the storm but I feel they could also feel the impact of dwindling supply and demand. Certainly if they shut down production to create and maintain revenue it will happen again and that will certainly lead to layoffs.

4- Finally large cities where financial markets, banking, etc are the hub, like New York, Chicago, etc, will have some isolation from the impacts of this economic disaster. However, these industries will also feel the impact of less buying, sales, tax revenue, investing.

So is there any real safe place to get up and move to? Well we can eliminate the farm belt and other rural area's they are already established and many on the edge will also fold leaving what is left to the big multi nationals to cut up.

So unless we see jobs, decent jobs and soon all the rest is frivolous talk. Just where can one go? Well for us average Americans the sad fact is no where. There just are no more decent jobs anywhere. It really is up to our state and national governments to get people back to work and soon. The only way to do that is to expand the government payroll. How, work programs. It is as simple as that. What money, hey they just spent a trillion dollars bailing out their friends, they can do something for us Americans. They have placed $8,600 on us all, every member of your and my household. I don't know about you but that pays off my 2004 car. being it isn't worth now what I purchased it for then. Yes and I got a deal. So here are the proposals.

1- Increase the size of the military. That will put money in people's pockets all across the board while creating manufacturing here on our soil. It will also secure our freedom.

2- WPA and CCC will get people all across this land back to work rebuilding America. Put that 700 billion where it should be helping Americans. That will increase the flow of tax dollars, help the credit fiasco, put money back into the hands of Americans not foreigners.

3- Cut our usury immediately and stabilize the house market with a one time adjustment to ALL MORTGAGES, foreclosures or not. Do that and we will see the flow of investment IMMEDIATELY. It is as simple as that.

Hey some joke about voting for me as a write in candidate now that is scary for a lot of those who read me. The broom would be a big one and their world would get rocked. Of course those in Congress, the stae and yes local governments would make the path every hard for anyone not in their inner circle. Why becuase the monster is larger then just the natinal government. It is a giant all consuming beast of prey and we are their food. That is a fact that many can't comprehend. It is beyond their thinking capacity to understand. Yes the problem is massive and it has gone untreated for years. the only action left, radical surgery.

Yet, I can do no worse then any of them and the writing would be on the wall. Guess what, at least you would know I really care about you and America. A simple fact and a novel idea and concept.

My pledge, not promise to all Americans would go something like this-

Work for the common and general welfare of all Americans. Wow really, how?

Create opportunities through government sponsored work programs. Social Democracy you say, are you kidding me, what do you think we already have? We need to do this while we can to eliminate it up the road. It is already here and functioning.

Improve the military by giving them what they need to fight and win, completely, without doubt and untie their hands to preserve protect and defend our nation. Let the slogan "Don't tread on me" prevail at all times. How, by bringing our defense industry home, the entire lot. That will take time but it can be done. That will cost money. Yes money spent at home not buying off shore. It will also keep technology here.

We will extend the olive branch of fair trade and shut the door to unbalanced trade. You are our friend or foe, choose. Can we share our wealth, yes the word is share we will not allow you to take or plunder. No, we will not isolate we will insulate from unfair, unjust agreements that take from Americans instead of working for the common good of both nations. A just and fair agreement, something not heard of these days. Partnerships that are verifiable. Trust but verify to coin a phrase.

We will call all of our forces home, except where that nation asks us to stay, but without strings or reservations or terms and with the condition that our forces in harms way can go and defend themselves in any manner they see fit to ensure their safety. We will respect the government of that nation but we will be emphatic there is no free lunch on American lives. Any attack on our friend is an attack on us, period and make sure everyone knows that, is sure of that and does not doubt that. The only way is with military might. The big stick. Do not be naive,w e cannot do that now.

We will create manufacturing of all sorts through an enthusiastic approach to reward businesses that bring it home and keep it here. We will eliminate affirmative action, ethic, surveys, rewards for hiring on ethic grounds and place the rewards on the hiring of all Americans. We cannot eliminate bigotry through legislation but we can strengthen the branches of consumer, workers and peoples advocates and rights and enforcement leveling fines, and jail time for those proved to use racial, hate or bigoted and exploitative practices. No we need to become that America and WE can only do that. No more dividers just belief in what we profess and works that follow that. I don't give a damn who you are if your an American we need to insure you can find and keep work before any foreign citizen.

However, we will end illegal immigration but allow a fair, open and honest work program where people can come, register, bring their families and receive the same pay and benefits as Americans. They can stay as long as they maintain that position but they must maintain a loyalty and observance of and to our laws, culture, beliefs while on our soil. Those wishing to become citizens can get to the back of the line. Those serving in the armed forces will be allowed immediately to apply and upon honorable completion be granted citizenship, if they desire such. Employers exploiting them would be fined or jailed, period.

As for energy, we will be open to any and all technology, concepts, idea's that bring that about as soon as possible. We will help homeowners to reduce energy costs through implementation of the WPA, CCC programs to upgrade homes, insulation, cut energy dependency and costs build roads, bridges, highways, parks and clean up the inner city. Outside contractors hiring these persons will get a tax incentive to do such and government help with payroll. We will work with those who are our friends to insure they do not find hardship up the road, in fair, just and open relationships.

We will cut out all the earmarks except where it proves a benefit to the taxpayers of that area in qualified and substantiated terms. As for lobbying, it will be outlawed and all campaigns will be run off of taxpayer money. Do it that way or else stay home.

Bankruptcy laws would be changed to make it as simple as possible for all involved. Those lending should be entitled to repayment yet not where usury is involved. Every avenue should be afforded to resolve that without destroying either party. Yet if the company chooses a write off they get that period. Yes and that agreement should be noted on the credit report not as a negative but an agreement. Yes and place controls on credit card offerings and fix the offering with no changes.

Well enough for now, Enough for the debaters to grasp and attack. Yet I feel it all can be done. Easy, certainly not, but what is? That is the opportunity. It can be started now but will those in power, no. The only way is to start this is to change them all that are part of that inner circle and do it now, in three weeks time.
