Why the Emphasis On Deeds?

In my most recent writings I have been led to examine the significance of deeds [works] in our daily life. The fruit of our hand or labor in relationship to life and yes, the hereafter for believers. Now those who long for the things of this world and who have no care about the hereafter and hence perhaps no regard for what they do this may mean little to nothing? In other words the consequences are more as to how it effects them positively now then anyone else so their deeds may tend to go in that direction. In fact believers are told repeatedly that those of the world, as in Corinthians Chapter 3 verse 13 - the work of each will come to light, for the day will disclose it. That is good or bad.

Now this article is not an effort to evangelize, no it is an effort to represent sound logic to believers and unbelievers alike. For believers the significance of works is embedded and referenced throughout the Word of God. For non believers it is not so illogical to say your works represent who you "really" are. In either case works are significant.

Now why works? Well it is the measure of who we are. You shall know them by their works, the fruit of their hands is a most definitive way to judge. So while God says judge not lest you be judged the Word tells us to come out from among those who do wrong. Well logically how can one know who these people are? Simply, their works. No not what they profess, say, promise but factually what they do.

Is not God, as stated in the Book of Revelation, going to open the scrolls and read your works and from there judgment will be meted out? Do not when we look at a persons record search for what they have done, either good or bad to determine who they are? Your resume speaks to your works.

Now certainly to non believers the message of the Cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to those who are to be saved it is the power of God. Do they think they are perishing, no, certainly not. Corinthians Chapter 1 verse 18. Yes, to non believers we are fools but to we who believe, just who are the real fools? Only when we cross over will we all know for sure even though believers are sure already in faith.

In verse 19, same chapter, God says "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and the learning of the learned I will set aside" 20 Where is the wise one? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made the wisdom of this world foolish?" There is your answer. So is not the longing, seeking, coveting of what this world has to offer for naught? Do we all not leave as we entered?

No wealth is of itself not evil. It is the use or non use of it that is what is judged. The Word is also very specific concerning this as well. So if you do good with your wealth, then your works are justified before God. If you do it for financial reasons without love or good intent then it is worthless. Then your works are what they are, for He who knows why has written it onto the scrolls.

It is the same with persons who have attained positions of power, leadership, wealth. Much will be demanded of them. That is the fruit of their hands, their works. What they produce for the common good of all, or what they produce that destroys, exploits, takes, crushes, or serves their own purposes selfishly, their agenda, goal, ideology and yes even by incompetence. Yes and it is not in the robes they wear, how they are adorned or in how eloquent they speak or what they even profess or promise, or their wealth or fame, no it is their works that we can judge and discern.

So after writing thousands of words and pages to why we should not vote for persons simply on exterior, outward, packaging but by facts, truth, we see multitudes that this message means little to nothing to. Yes and that majority even professing. Yes, the work of their hands, the result of their efforts in what they have done or failed to do really gets down as well to our individual works. Yes our works that will be entered onto the scrolls. What we do or don't do with that knowledge.

Did we elect these types to continue the same things, the things we found pleasing to us, or we like and condone, or did we cast our vote against usury, the blatant breaking of law, exploitation, greed, laws which crush, break and place heavy burdens upon people for the sake of profit, markets, wealth, power, agenda?

I ask believers, that is true believers, because professed believers and true believers are two separate entities. Does not the Lord say "depart from me" even after they say Lord, did we not, etc". How do you justify those deeds before God when the scrolls are read?

Yes if you elect anyone who brings harm directly or indirectly by their deeds or works in my opinion you share in their doing and works. It is as simple as that. If you know someone stole and do nothing you are by definition an accomplice. So this election day for believers and decent non believers to know their candidates works, the fruit of their hands and take the action that is appropriate by nature of their candidates deeds, not what they promise or profess, is crucial.

Speaking to a nurse today who claimed to be a Christian she stated she was voting for the lessor of two really bad choices and voting democratic. I said why and she said the Republicans just weren't for people and get this, she thought, Obama was closer to her views. By what he said and his record. I then proceeded to ask if she knew his position on usury and she said no. What about "immigration" and she said no but that she wasn't for it. I then said to her you do have an alternative but you are not even considering it. She asked, what that was? I said just do not vote for any Republican or Democrat, period. Could you get another evil, perhaps but that you do not know but you do know what you already have and by your own words you don't like it much.

So we all hear much about things we all want but in reality we see little action. I see immediate action for the rich, the powerful, the wealthy, the private sector and the "credit worthy"' but the poor, average Americans, those in need, the non credit worthy, irresponsible, families all across this land of every race, color, creed, ethnic background I see little to nothing only talk.

My action must be as I see by nature of who I profess to be, to take action against those who brought this about and who profited from it and still do by nature of their deeds or lack thereof. Therefore I will not, nor will my family and yes many of our friends not vote for any and I do mean any, Republican or Democrat running at any level of government. To say their hand was not in

these works is in my opinion to be ignorant of it all or as I said condoning.

Why, the proof is in what they have done and failed to do, the fruit of their hands. Is is not evident for all to see or do you care not to?
