Yes in the continuing saga of forcing you to comply in many cases you can no longer buy, rent spend unless you use your credit card. Cash as legal tender, sorry we don't take it. Personal check, negotiable instrument, sorry Credit card. Bank money order or certified check, sorry Credit Card. How about Western Union money Gram, sorry, we don't take it.
Yes and you, yes you, who continue to vote for them are either in my opinion of the same ilk or as I said in one word, no disrespect intended, fool. Why, well talking to an elderly couple who recognized me from church. Hey didn't you go to St. So and So?" Yes, I used to. "Do you go any longer", no. Why, well I still believe very strongly but not in "church" as it is today and as I have come to experience it. I have had my fill of the professing types and the "Easter Bunnies". Yes looking and sounding good on the outside, but their works, hollow.
So I brought up in the general conversation that it seems we can't use cash much any longer. They laughed because I was paying cash at the check out. I said no not everywhere but pretty soon it will be so. I said what do you think about the cash less society we have heard about for so long? They said it will never happen. I said yes, just like gas prices never going to $100.00 a barrel or Foreclosures, right? I said look around at all the signs and symbols. "What is that you are referring to?" Don't know well don't fret you are not alone, you are in the majority. In my opinion we are being prepared for the all in one card. "What is that?" I said see what I mean about church. You have been going for quite sometime but don't know what I am referring to, do you? They said, " no ". Yes good people, but don't have the slightest idea of what is going on all about them.
Ok, scream conspiracy or whatever but you will know very shortly just what I am speaking to and you will approve and help usher it all in. Yes, all of you who read about this election as if, really as if, real change were going to take place and it was one big mystery as to what they were going to do and all the drama about who will be elected. My God how lost a nation are we?
Yes it starts with the little things like tightening down on credit for those non credit worthy types, yes and increasing costs for them. Don't believe me but that doesn't make it any the less true. It starts with recession and perhaps depression to get people to jump. Yes bail outs, failure, closings, layoff's fear and everything else that people are worried about. Yes and drilling in Alaska well read history just a few short years ago. Oh, I'm sorry, no time, don't care, right? Fact my friends not fiction. Oh, I got it, times have changed things are different, yea.
So the sad, sinful, disgrace of it all is that YOU, yes many of YOU accept it without knowing. Plodding along day in and day out without the slightest idea or concern about what is going on all around you. So I have said my pitch or can add a letter and change it's context but it won't matter. I read the same articles as you. I know what you are tuned into and so do you.
But just remember this "Sorry we don't take cash or checks only Credit Cards"
Want to test me. Call to reserve a hotel room in Las Vegas or book a trip and tell them you want to pay cash. Never mind Vegas, call your local hotel. Try buying an airline ticket. Yes just simple tests out of many and you will see exactly what I mean. "Sorry we don't take cash or checks only Credit Cards"

Top-level comments on this article: (1 total)Yes, we may one day end up to be a cashless society, but not yet. As far as hotel, car rentals and airline tickets are concerned, the credit card has been the preferred mode of payment for many years now. I know of what I speak, as I used to be a Travel Agent and Airline Ticket Agent (32 years). The hotels and car rental companies will ask you for a credit card when the reservation is made, in order to guarantee your purchase. When you pick up the car or check in at the hotel, you do not have to put the charge on your credit card. You can pay cash at that time. As far as airline tickets are concerned, most purchases are made by phoning the airline or booking online. Obviously the only way of paying is by credit card, but airport counters and travel agents still take cash. Please log in to respond to this comment.David thanks for responding.
