Be Ye a believer or not the Word is filled with Wisdom.

So if a man be a believer or not one can find words of wisdom and good thinking in the Word of God. Of course believers know this because Gods Word is infallible, the point though it matters not what you believe [your choice] the lessons true and valuable.

Now what am I driving at? Well if you be a professed man of God then one would expect you to use the Word in your daily life. To incorporate the wisdom the Word provides in all you do. No not preaching religion just a good how to be successful course. It is as simple as that.

Well let me give you a few examples from the Book of Sirach [Ecclesiasticus] Chapter 12 and 13.

Verse 11 - "Even though he acts humbly and peaceful toward you, take care to be on guard against him." Could we apply this to any relationship with other nations in this world today?

Verse 16- "With his lips an enemy speaks sweetly but in his heart he schemes to plunge you into the abyss." Do we trust these nations and have we not seen it first hand when we expected them to stand by us?

How about chapter 13

Verse 3- "the rich man does wrong and boasts of it, the poor man is wronged and begs forgiveness." Does Credit Card usury sound familiar?

Verse 5- As long as you have anything he will speak fair words to you, then with regret he will impoverish you. [Banks- investors- exploiters]

Verse 16- is a wolf ever allied with a lamb? So it is with the sinner and the just. " The again verse 21, Many are the supporters for a rich man when he speaks; though what he says is odious, it wins approval" or verse 22, A rich man speaks and all are silent, his Wisdom they extol to the clouds. A poor man speaks and they say "Who is that"? If he slips they cast him down."

So what am I driving at. Well here is an example right out of the headlines. I wrote to the Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac bailout by us taxpayers and the ramifications of it. What are they? Well of course lets start off with saying that most of you will say these efforts are long overdue. Well I kind of liked the logic as applied by John E Wasik in his article in Bloomberg News "Work Out, not kick out". Why, well my ego must say I have been writing to that for sometime now. Of course this all ass-u-me's they want to help people. Lets jump back to Chapter 13 verse 3 again for what I am getting at. So ok never mind they just killed the American dream for millions. That went right by you. Never mind that we are once again bailing out private business, yes just like the Credit Card companies, fact, Moo and double Moo.

Why, well they want to guarantee that someone can pay that mortgage for at least seven years into the future. One suspects they have a crystal ball or can tell the future because do you know where and how you will be in seven years. Do you remember seven years ago where and how you were, any better or worse off now? Now you must also verify income. Ok we can live with that but how many will have the income to buy? Just who are they speaking to? Is it the average American family or person? Yes and finally they must establish escrow to insure their friends the investors are protected. It is no more then that and also floating your funds, something they have taken away from you. How strange, right?

Yes, Verse 16- "With his lips an enemy speaks sweetly but in his heart he schemes to plunge you into the abyss." Chapter 13, Verse 5- As long as you have anything he will speak fair words to you, then with regret he will impoverish you. WOW, what else can one say? So are you getting the message? Where their heart is so is their God regardless of what they profess. " Chapter 13, Verse 16- is a wolf ever allied with a lamb?

Yes simple everyday logic or undeniable logic from the one true God? I choose the latter.

So when they speak my friends listen, not as much to what they say but what they don't say. Their intent, what they omit, what they only provide half of. Why not "Work Out, not kick out". Why, the answer my friends is right before you if you care to see, if you can see and the Word has an answer to that as well?

It really is simple if you profess you do that which you believe. It is as simple as that.

Nice Job Robert! I love how you used the Scripture to make your point. This way it is God speaking and not you. I have had a chance to do a little research. And I mean a little . Like I know this book is very similar to the book of Proverbs. I still have a long way to go, but so far I haven't seen any conflicting teaching. :-) Thanks for sharing--God bless you as you grow in the wisdom and knowledge of our Lord Jesus. Teresa

Hi, I think it points out the huge difficulty because of the disparity in belief. For the vast majority of whatever Bible version you use the same exact message yet so many interpretations provided by man. So in my eyes what is the CORE of the message? Paul states very clearly we all believe in different ways but it matters not the method, it is solely the core  of believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and Love him with your whole heart and do the works that are his and your love of neighbor and ALL is fulfilled.

So why not LOVE? WHY not LOVE? I think the Word spells it out what LOVE is very clearly so why do professors in Jesus Christ have a hard time with it? Well very simple "Not all who call me Lord shall enter the Kingdom", didn't I, etc? Depart from me, etc. Yes what we have done and failed to do will be our judgment that we, not God has chosen. Thanks, prayers and best regards, Robert.

Yes, I agree , why is love so hard?  The answer is simple, we are selfish people by nature and it takes effort and sacrifice to die to ourselves and put others first.

We really need God's grace to do this. Love and hugs, Teresa

Teresa you answered me exactly to what I am writing to. Is that not being Born Again? To throw away the old and put on the new? Is that not a sign of the true believer not just one who is the professor but doer? Yes exactly, you shall know them by their fruits. Hey I am a Mad Dog at times but to me it is at the very core of who we actually are. Profess all one wants what really are you?  Yes and we do need God's Grace to convert. Yet did not the early church, the Apostles, why so difficult today. The same choices. Blessings Robert.
