Yes the title of this article.I had decided to continue my message about a Nation in Crisis, a nation dismantled because many have encouraged me to do so. Since day one I have been writing my articles here and I have been encouraged by the owners, real good decent people and others to continue. Yet, the issues at hand are so overwhelming to the spirit that it becomes a task to try to fit them into a reasonable space when writing. Do I own these issues personally, no, but we all do collectively. Yet it is what we truly "feel" about others that prompts us to act. No not mere words with meaningless acts or none at all, but real deeds for the common good of all.
You see people will label you as a complainer, a problem, trouble, crazy, a zealot and everything else they can think of when you bring fact and truth into the light. The whistle blower, while welcomed as the agent for all, is rarely supported and eventually discarded by the very ones they speak out for. You know "why doesn't someone say something"? We know why and they know why, do you? Do you know deep down in your soul the answer? You know that spot that no one knows about but your God and you and if you have no God certainly you and no one else. That you can never run from. If you care, are decent, do what you profess to be, you know. The key here is do what you profess to be.
Well the signs and symbols, in my opinion are too far above many to contemplate just what I am writing to and are all about. Do they really care what happens to their neighbor? Where is true love of neighbor, where? Well the answer really and truthfully is in the majority of cases nowhere.
Sure when there is a disaster, a major event we see the good side of people. Sure there are some working hard in the fields. Sure there are those that care. Yet I am not talking about those. They are the glue that holds this all together. No, I am talking about the majority. The ones who profess, go through the rituals for their sake and no one else's. These are but the Easter Bunny types I always allude to.
Who am I talking about? I am talking about someone's dad, mother, grandfather or grandmother who stops at a light and when the light turns green and they don't move and you press on your horn ever so lightly so as to not shock them they give you the finger at 70 or 80 years old. Yes and then they slow down deliberately to under the speed limit or stop short in front of you. Yes and then when you pull alongside at the next light they do it again and wave you over. Yes at 70 or 80. Tells you a lot about America's new character. Rhetorically, and probably, most likely, they even may go to church faithfully every Sunday? Yes that is a sign and symbol of the new America. The exterior package does not always have the contents you thought or think it contains.
How about that cop who pulls you over, is rude, disrespectful, uncaring, laugh at you and writes you a ticket, period ,no excuses. Yes and did they forget their humanity? Did they forget their failures, mistakes? Oh, one supposes you are going to say there are always a few. Yes I'll agree with that, except today there are much more then a few a larger percentage these days. Yes need money for the coffers. The good ones who care, understand and treat you with dignity. Their very own know these traffic rangers and how they operate. We who live in small communities know who they are. The same ones time after time. Yes and we dare not speak out the truth even though everyone knows it because, well it isn't politically correct or they are well known by the community leaders. Yes the same types, birds of a feather and you just know nothing will ever change.
Yes and even like Obama. God forbid you do not like him on his record and what he has done or not done as a man. Dare you speak out you are labeled, named, identified. You see if we are what and who we say we are we truly are color blind and that goes for any person or any race. Yes we can nod in agreement but for many that is far from them.
Yes and when I write to the ignoring law even while under an oath. To laws that offer no protection and bring hardship. To financial abuse with interest that no person can dare to call non usury, who really cares if it is not them? Who cares about the people who are evicted, thrown out of their home? The banks, well they w rite it off and could care less, yes care less about people. They continue the charade, the farce, the game. A person, a family a relative, yes a neighbor, yes someone's life down the drain because well, they are not "Credit Worthy" and certainly we need to "educate them" because they are just not responsible.
Yes not responsible because they care for elderly family and get little to no help at all, well because they are citizens and not illegal. Oh feelings bruised, well suck it up it is fact. Yes and those poor illegal workers can be exploited in their home country and here and all you can say is "what would Jesus do"? Give me a break. Yes too wealthy and certainly not responsible. Put them in a Nursing home so they can get good care right? My soul cries out in anger a word I dare not say. I can only say as the movie goes "you can't fix stupid" no and you can't fix arrogance and contempt and you can't fix the fact that they do not care to admit it even though it is right before them, who me?
Oh I'm the same. Well you are right. A sinner as well but and that but is a major but, I know what I do and I know I am a sinner and need God's grace. They don't and "that's a fact Jack", as the movie line goes. The list is endless and I have already written to them. Yes and the arrogant, contemptuous, prideful, egotistical, me types, well what can anyone expect. Proud in their position, power and wealth, untouchable and above all.
So in my opinion we have become a nation of individual "ME's" and our motto is, if it works for me it is ok. Ethical Relativity, a new morality, an uncaring what do I get society and as for the rest, those 15 to 30 % if you include the poor, well I did it so can they. I worked hard for mine. My kids can go out and get it on their own, they made their bed and they can lay in it. Need I go further.
Yes profess all you want, claim all you want, talk all you want, yes then go about your real business which is "its all about you". It really is, but and that but is major, it is what you do about you that matters in this world. You come in with zilch, nada, nothing and you leave the same. Oh sure the rags they dress your remains in are just that, rags and decaying garments like what is left. No when you leave you will be far gone from that. That soul I mentioned and the president the other day is where it all is stored. Sort of that hard drive and many have one that is corrupted..
I guess the real bottom line when I look at it all is this. This world needed a savior, period. There is no way man can ever hope to save himself, period. If you die and go to worms, well no worry. If you die and come back what will it be as? Yes and you who profess a belief in God understand that no religious practice, ritual, denomination, person can save YOU. It is really all about YOU, what YOU do and what you fail to do.
