A Change For the Good, Never. I'm sorry, call me pessimist, negative, defeatist, or whatever else you like but you certainly must add realist. I always try to operate in reality, the now and what are real expectations and what is reasonable to accomplish or to be able to set goals and objectives that can be attained. I find myself unique in many ways simply because while many might agree with my opinions few put their opinions into action on their own. Certainly there are some on this site who do that but for the most part just a few. Yes and those types like me, find ourselves on the outside looking in at all the rest and we, as my blog title implies, "Wonder Why"? We Wonder Why what we write to and express as opinions and while certainly self evident they are not addressed or seem to be or are ignored? It is like "We hold these truths to be "self evident" that all men are created equal, etc". We profess it but do we implement it in what we do? Yes great words, a great speech, nothing more when nothing done. Yes it is not in or becuase of a gender, a race, a religion it is in the person that change comes about. When we try to make it other then that we can only lose.

No many live in the lofty world of hope, faith and belief and idealistic and lofty aspirations and many times this carries the day. Unfortunately if one does the math, not so often. Yes the power of positive thinking, taking charge, walking in faith are all excellent examples that yes, even we pessimists do need to follow and implement. How would we ever achieve without that? Individually it works, yet, the numbers of successes for the masses are puny when compared to the failures.

So as I sit back and ponder humanity, this world, and everything that I have been writing to for years now, I actually have come to realize more then ever how totally futile it is to believe that mankind can make any lasting, constructive and positive change for the good of all. Is this not what we place our hope in our leaders for?

Now certainly we all have our little individual triumphs of person or team and even nation but when we try to pull it all together for the common good of all we fall woefully apart. Our inadequacies and failures and mediocrity show right through. We just can't seem to get it all together when that encompasses the masses. We can lead a football or dance team to victory but when we need to do the right thing in law, a law that impacts all, we fail.

Oh sure we speak to it, we theorize, we plan, we profess and we envision but where the tire meets the road we never seem to get over the hump as they say. Now why is this so? Well it takes people with a common goal, objective and teamwork to accomplish something that impacts more then just ones self. We elect, install and seek leaders to unite us, bond us together and guide us to achieving the common objective. Yes everyone united for the same good, the good of all.

Is that not the role we seek of our government? A government and get this, Of the People, by the People and for the People and its goal is to provide for the security, prosperity and the domestic tranquility of our People. No not foreign tranquility, domestic. In other words for the Common Good of all Americans.

So if we come down to the group, team, department or smaller units we can see the workings of that in all. Yet when we expand that into government it somehow disappears, it is lost, it evaporates, it is non existent, it just does not happen, why?

Well in my opinion at this point we have eliminated all that is required and replaced it with one word "ME". As long as we have those who's only ambition is to further themselves without consideration for others then we are doomed to fail. So as one looks at the works of these leaders, the work of their hands, and I really do not care at what point throughout mans history or nation you will see the failure of mankind at this most critical level of leadership, we see failure. It is in my opinion a cancer. It even impacts those who reach that pinnacle and get this who had demonstrated the virtues and characteristics of leadership and then when reaching that ultimate pinnacle of power somehow lost it all.

So as we get down to listening to this McCain, Obama race for President just what do we see? The failures are as pronounced as anything could ever be. Yet it is not evidently seen by the multitudes that vote for them? In my opinion by observation and after almost 100,000 readers on two sites I have formed this opinion that they really do not care. I mean really care, not superficial care. It really is evidently as simple as that. No, it is the truth and in my opinion I have come to realize they must be exactly like those they like and yes like the Pharisees's in the Bible, they are blind to it all. Yes having knowledge but seeing nothing and especially not the truth.

So as for me a change for the good, never, unless they, these so called leaders demonstrate a change and frankly I do not see that as happening. It is not in their rhetoric, their goals, their objectives and what they say they will do. It is certainly not in who they profess as demonstrated by what they have done or failed to do. One only needs to see what their actions or those none actions have done and caused to countless people. No not to or for the few, no not selected or specific groups, but all and certainly for the common good of all. Can you list them? I venture to say you can on the negative side.

So it is by nature of truth, reality, reason, fact, that this world will not deviate from the path it follows regardless of all the professions, the facades, the Easter Bunnies out there. No, change will not come until and those who know, understand what I am saying.

So waste no time on this lot because you will gain nothing. You average Americans must plan now and worry about you and your loved ones because in my opinion the hard times are only going to get harder for you. As for the haves they will continue to prosper and be content, why, think about it and think hard because it has to be.
