Shouldn’t It Be Time For Candor and Not Skirting the Issues?

You may want to read this article in tandem with my prior two on the same theme. Recently our Senator paid a visit to our local area. He was greeted with what he termed frustration and almost anger. While they spoke of many issues as usual they were glossed over. Example he spoke [of course] about the necessity for Globalization and technology. He didn't mention we gave away our nation and we hire foreigners displacing Americans. Nor did the newspaper report it. He didn't address the elderly [you know the old] who may have it cushy now but just may join the others who are struggling to survive,. Yes $1100.00 Per Month and that is all to live on and too wealthy for medicaid. Better yet $600.00 a month and too wealthy for medicaid. Billions for big business and bailouts but someone's mom or dad, well, hey times are tough. So what did he have to offer. Really in my opinion nada, zilch, nothing. A lot of empathy and no solutions. Yes and all those who wanted a picture with him ate it all up. Maybe they should hand out cards, like baseball cards and save all the trouble.

So even though they may think us average working Americas are incapable, bovine, we all recognize that there are just some things our government cannot tell us because it might introduce fear, anxiety, panic, apprehension and impact other aspects of society from economics to relationships with other powers. Hey isn't that what we have now anyway? Now recently the book a Washington press insider wrote has raised a lot of questions and concerns about, in my opinion honesty. Yes to me I call it character.

The fact of the matter is Americans can accept that we sometimes make mistakes. What we can't except is the ineptness of our leaders to solve the issues. There has for many years, since Viet Nam, Watergate and even the first Iraq war a growing apprehension that our leaders cannot be trusted. Frankly it has created the rampant apathy that shows up each election day in those that just don't bother to vote. Yes 50% of all voters.

He talked but as Paul Harvey made a career of "and now the rest of the story". So why not some honesty concerning the issues at hand? Well perhaps, just perhaps that can't ever be because if the truth were told, there just could, rhetorically of course, be another revolution. Perhaps our leaders objectives, goals, desires and plans do not match up with what the American people want and is perceived as good for the interests of this nation and for the common good of all Americans?

So why do we have an underhanded persistence and I do mean a sneaky underhanded, backdoor approach to push trough programs like Comprehensive Immigration reform when 81% of Americans don't want it? Why does it happen and what are the reasons and forces behind it all? Need we go on to all the rest, oil, trade, the economy? Why an ethics bill when the back door is open?

No, what is at the root of this all Americans know. It is in my opinion Globalism, Free Trade, Open Borders and cheap labor. Now perhaps, just perhaps Americans could buy Fair Trade, Controlled passage and work permits and competitive jobs and salaries which don't favor foreigners over our very own? They use the terms complex, comprehensive, in my opinion buzz words for can't do or won't do. Like I said they do it real fast for those who have.

Now of course we will hear these are delicate negotiations with give and take and compromise. Well frankly we all can understand that but Americans don't understand why we have to give the farm away? So perhaps the fact that we are an aging society. Perhaps the fact that many Americans and yes even those illegal workers who do not want those farm jobs after they are here awhile, but none dare say it as truth, yet the record speaks for itself. They never talk to the truth of that because they don't have to. They have a never ending resource to exploit. Yes exploit. Yes we are not that bovine that we do not understand this is about cheaper and cheaper labor. So rhetorically, just who are the real bovine here?

So to be candid lets go ahead and say it, the New World order is the dream of the elite big business, corporate giants of this world. They need democracy because war zones are just not good for business except the military weapons industry. Rhetorically, I guess we will always have a war or two? They need cheap labor to keep profit margins high, never mind fair, high.

One can go one but I think that says it enough. Now the solution winds up in one all encompassing word FAIR. Fair Trade for all. Fair agreements for all. Fair Wages for all. Fair distribution of wealth and a living wage for all workers. Not hard to understand unless you replace it with CHEAP.

Now candidly, if we continue along this path we are on this world is already experiencing the riots, the uprisings, the anarchy. It will spread because it must when people are abused, exploited, used. Look Spam is very high in demand and prices have gone up 17% in less then a year. It is becoming a staple in many a household. Does that not tell you anything?

So in my opinion to expect this bunch to suddenly become candid, speak openly, come up with workable solutions that incorporate FAIR is something that is beyond reason to me. Yes, those that will vote for them will buy anything or like what they do. Yes either birds of a feather or what else?

As for this average American the handwriting is on the wall each and every day. It is in the food bill, the electric bill, the auto insurance, the home insurance, the Credit Card payments, our kids school lunch, school supplies, gas for the car, a luxury these days, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc.

So in my opinion candor would be nice but along with that how about a dose of character and all the virtues that go along with that? Then perhaps, just perhaps we could start once again working for the common good of all?
