The Sorrows of the Heart.

Just what can one say about sorrow? It comes in many forms into our lives and we must learn to deal with it. From death, to injury, to sickness, to financial situations, to relationships, through tragedy and on and on and on. Certainly caring people, loving people, good and decent people actually feel another's pain and suffering even when it is not theirs. The other undergoing the sorrow may be a complete stranger yet they suffer for them and with them. Once again, not all, the few.
I read about the many sorrows experienced by some of this group of writers. I can see the uninterested and yes the concerned by nature of comment and certainly by what is not done via comments or lack thereof. I can see the focus of people in the number of readers who migrate to articles of the heart and faith verses the frivolous, gossip, material types. Nothing wrong with that. There are many reasons for that. Perhaps too much sorrow in their own life, perhaps not important, whatever, the truth once again.
So as I write each day to the topics of what is in my opinion the negatives and sorrowful, people would rather I marsh mellow the truth. The fact being there is just too much sorrow, hurt, tragedy in this world. Sure I can say hope for that is a good thing. Yet those who are good always have hope. I could say faith, but you know something those who are good already have faith. I could say be positive but you know something those who have hope and faith are positive because they demonstrate it each day in what they do. Yes each and every day they get up, no matter what the sorrow or circumstance pick up their cross and carry it.
Now frankly the rest, the greater number, who in my opinion are the lost because the things I write to are of no concern to them. It does not raise a question. It does not invoke a feeling, it just matters little to nothing, period. So to write day in and day out and have people say good job Robert is fine and I thank them from the bottom of my hearts of hearts. They are the true believers, the doers, the ones who care, the ones who's hearts show in their works the ones who's remarks are treasured.
As for the rest, like I stated and like it or not, no heart, no feeling, no concern except for themselves. A heart waxed cold on the things of this world. As scripture says having all the outward appearances [The Easter Bunny] but inside nothing, nada, zilch.
So I have reached a point where my suffering, sorrow, sense of hurt is truly overwhelming to me. Over sensitive to the needs of my fellow man, I think not . However, I see the vastness of this world corrupt, evil, worthless and I see what our lord must have seen on the Cross. How truly wicked we are. I truly sense the sorrow as "the man of sorrows he is" for all of us that one of His final comments at the end was "Father forgive them they know not what they do".
So only with that in mind do I continue to strive to say what must be said for the sake of waking someone up. Yes even one person. Yes also keeping me awake and on the path. The truth is this and no one can deny it, the misery and sorrow of this world need not be. It is truly the choice of mankind and frankly trust no man, me or anyone, because we all fall.
So here is the gauntlet to our leaders to pick up or trash in the dust along with all the rest. Be who you say you are because " a man has to stand for something". Stand for what you profess or please stop professing because your works go before you and you have been found wanting.
So as the hypocrite I am, drawn continually back to this world and how it impacts people even though a long time ago I said I would stop, I continue to get prompted to write to these issues. I had tried to write about scripture, the end times and do but for the most part I will leave that to God. However, I will continue to write to morality, ethics, values, honesty, integrity and the negatives not because people want to hear them, but because people need to hear them and as Paul harvey says, "and now the rest of the story". Can we stop to think how significant that last statement is?

Top-level comments on this article: (2 total)We live in a time that I honestly don't understand; there is very little interaction and even many Christians are robotic. As a little girl, I remember sitting around the table with my parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles for hours and just interacting and being a family whereas today everything is a rush with nobody having any time. When someone was in trouble there was help and no one expected to be paid. The elderly and sick were cared for and not tossed aside because families took care of family. During the depression, my grandmother used to drag my mother and uncle all across Manhattan and Brooklyn with baskets of food and clothing to help those who where devastated by the crash -- people got involved and people had reverence to God. Today, it is a lot of "talk" and preaching with very little substance. Keep writing, dear Robert, you are being heard and your voice is needed. Please log in to respond to this comment.Judi Gods plan for us all is family, as we are part of His "Familia". Nothing this earth can ever offer can replace it. Yet even with all the millions here and billions who profess we have allowed the family unit to desolve. Along with our family we carried traditions and values, work ethics. That has all gone and yes Judi one can speak to it but it starts at church, in the home and frankly there are few like us around any longer. It is truly sad and we have allowed it. Hug your family tight, hold them and as you do let them grow with values for all. Yet you must explain they will be the outsider, as mine found out. It is very hard to grow up in a worldd of no values where the majority think only of themselves and do not even recognize it. With all the very best and warm regards, Robert. Please log in to respond to this comment.
Hi Robert, thank you for sharing your heart. I was blessed. I understand it can be discouraging when some articles have a higher number of readers, but don't let it, because the Lord moves one heart at a time. What would it matter if 500 people read and 0 out of the 500 had a change of heart, or at least a desire to research your words a little further? Yet if you had 50 readers and 1 heart was changed, now that makes it worth it!!! Pray for one heart at a time Robert, it is the Holy Spirit's job to move, only yours to speak. We each have a different purpose in writing, some for pleasure, some to teach, some to bring laughter. Robert you bring passion and heart to what you speak and you share with knowledge. That my dear friend, is powerful. So keep writing. You encourage me.Please log in to respond to this comment.Teresa you are as usual, right on the button. Numbers do not matter in that sense. It just saddens me that there is such a small reaction. It is just sad that so many profess and yet do the opposite. I am sure you run into it often. yet I know it is just another sign of the times we live in. Thnks for your caring comments, my best to you and yours, as always, Robert. Please log in to respond to this comment.
