Do You Really Think They Give a Damn?

Do you really think they give a damn when after 26 years of service they call you into the office, fire you and then walk you out the door within five minutes and do not even allow you time to say goodbye or pick up personal items? Its called At Will employment and welcome to Florida.

Do you really think they give a damn when they lay off and fire multiple people then turn around the same day and ask for a raise and an increase in their gas allowance because they drive to work and fuel prices have gone up and even while making over $110,000 a year?

Do you really think they give a damn when a vendor takes your components and shuts down your system, doesn't provide any service and then makes a statement "he's a nobody and doesn't he know how big we are"?

Do you really think they give a damn when you are forced to pay usurious fees on credit card debt, which is unsecured and then force you mind you into bankruptcy?

Do you really think they give a damn when your credit rating is destroyed by those usurious fees, lost employment, low wage jobs and ever rising living costs and when you are mandated to purchase auto, home and other required insurance and services and even find a job using those credit reporting agencies?

Do you really think they give a damn when you are evicted from your home even if you have children, sick elderly and no where to go and in the dead of night?

Do you really think they give a damn when you pull into a car dealer and ask about a specific car you already knew the price on and they lie and say no way and walk away uninterested.

Do you really think they give a damn because they profess they are something not demonstrated by their works, deeds and what they fail to do?

In my opinion and for the majority this is a more arrogant, self centered, all about me society hung up on this world and what it has to offer. Look you can say you are anything and frankly the obvious is all about us, everywhere and in everything. It has become so that lies are considered normal and even truth by those lying. Sin, what's that? Character, integrity, honor, truth, values, mere words that many profess and are rarely executed any longer. The bottom line is, Do you really think they give a damn? Well if so let me give you my opinion Moo.

Sir Robert, we know "they" could truly care less and we also know they will be reminded of their apathy in the fullness of time. An excellent article, filled with fiery passion and mature intelligence. It's good to see you haven't lost your flavor! *grin* Blessings to you, my dear friend. I've missed reading you.

You are Avis always in my thoughts as are many on Searchwarp who are good people. I was thinking about revival just last night and watching Perry Stone and it came to me that we all have a great oppotunity for intersessionary prayer right here on this venue. certainly we have this as jean and bruce have provided. Maybe a universal prayer we all can say, humbling ourselves before our God as sinners and asking for His mercy and foregiveness and interesession and help will grow beyoind our wildest thoughts if the Holy Spirit wihes it to? Alone we are but a single voice in the wilderness, united we are a force. Perhaps if we all, everyone of us who say and profess we believe lifted up our nation, all people and the world each day, a moment united and in agreement as believers no matter where we are we can make real change? So no matter what our denomination we can pray a united prayer, to gether. Now just think about that as we pass it to every one inviting them to join, no strings attached. To you my good friend, all the very best and happiness. i hope this finds you well? Robert.

Yes Robert, I know what you mean. I think of many others here and keep you in my prayers. As Christians, we are to walk by faith and not by sight. This doesn't mean to deny the existence of what is but what is can be a trick of the enemy to get us to succumb to believing what we are told to deny and disbelieve. Regardless to what the circumstances are, we are not our circumstances as we are "more than conquerors" who can call things that are not as though they were. Our faith has to be strong to accept and know this. Prayer, as you've suggested is what helps and also reading the Holy scriptures for understanding. Personally, I'd rather believe there is a way out instead of hopelessness. Our hope is in the Father. Yes, my friend, I am well, thank you. *warm smile* Take special care! -Avis
