I Defy These Politicians To Explain To Me How This Is Not Immoral or Not Sin?

A very strong title relating to only one aspect that is a fact in America, Home Health Care or the facade that they project. Yes, in my opinion the facade. Why am I of that opinion? Well, if you are an older person currently in health then you better wake up and read this and my other articles before, that's right, before you vote in the likes of these currently in office and before you have a personal need.

Feel, secure in your insurance and the government, well continue to do that and reap what you sow. You may call it judgement but I don't, I call it facts based on deeds and personal experience. Frankly, although your minister may not say so, we do this all the time in everything we do in life, we judge, we weigh, we consider, we contemplate, we discern and we form an opinion and take action on what we believe.

So here are the facts. Our government would rather pay a corporate medical care facility then put needed money into Home Health Care, even when that home health care is beneficial to the patient and the family. I can voice that opinion by nature of fact and experience . That is not to say they don't provide services which are appreciated. However, anything is better then nothing and it is soon approaching nothing. Rhetorically we can assume it is being financially responsibile and that is as long as they are not impacted. However, to say this really assists is ludicrous and whomever says that frankly has their head in a place there is no light! Yes, the patient does get some assistance but just what and is it enough to ward off additional expenses or really help? Well the proof is in the pudding as they say.

How can I say this, well as I stated, first hand experience is more then enough proof and it is getting worse. Yes, worse, to think this is not about profit and money you are just not in this world. If true you may ask why would they put more money into these large providers hands then Home Health. Well wake up, you really do not know?

In my opinion it is blatantly sin and personally I could care less what pulpit they preach from or what they profess. I defy them to come and speak to me or anyone in the same situation. Do you know something, they won't. Why, in my opinion by nature of our experience they really don't give a damn. None of this in my opinion, regardless of what they profess, is about people.

Now this is not to say these facilities do not distribute care. It is to say, depending on your involvement, what type of care and does anyone care about the care? Of course they will say they have regulating agencies, case rested. Frankly, we have been to all in our area and in my opinion some are better then others but all are under staffed, use foreign help and just do not meet expectations. In fact many us PA's in place of doctors. It is a lot less expensive. In our case we came home with little to no improvement and were passed to HHC because frankly Medicare won't pay any longer for the facility. Medicare has reduced Nursing, CNA, those are those who help wash, clean and bath and even therapy drastically to almost nothing. That tells you their focus. We may hear a politician bragging how they "cut Medicare costs". They never say who they hurt. The Doctor says the patient needs 6 months of HHC and Medicare says they get 30 days, so many hours and let the agency decide how to apply them. Yes Medicare won't pay for this, won't pay for that. So do you expect the insurers to do it for you? Tells you a lot about these people and who and what they really are regardless of what they profess, does it not?

Well the real facts are if Medicare doesn't pay Insurance doesn't pay. Simple and a fact. Birds of a Feather Flock together. Strange, it all ties together nicely? So, many times the person taking care of the person becomes injured, exhausted, overwhelmed, sick mentally, depressed and even more so then the patient might be. Of course financially you are destroyed. That's right destroyed. It is either turn in your Social Security and go into a home or lose it all. Now in place of one person you now have two to pay for.

Now it would be unfair to say this doesn't cost money. If we are to deliver this sort of Health Care that these politicians brag about to "help" the elderly then we have to accept there is a cost. We do not have to accept what they do. However, in these times when they preach fiscal responsibility, yes they evidently live in a glass house, it costs volumes more to place someone in a facility. It costs volumes more when you let someone progress to the point they need to be hospitalized because of all the red tape and bureaucracy. It costs more in pain and suffering when care can be administered in the home for considerably less then in a high cost corporate facility and you must place them in that facility. It costs more when you offer insufficient help and let the patient lapse back into ill health only to repeat the process over and over and over in place of real help.

So tell me how these politicians, when they sit next to that preacher, speak from the pulpit, profess to be believers, especially those who claim to be Christians, justify it? The answer is really anyone can say anything they want about what they are, the proof is in the deeds. Actually, they have no answer because in my opinion they either don't care or frankly are totally incapable, one or the other. In my opinion they are far from what they profess to be. Call it judgment, I call it fact.

The deeds in this case can fill volumes. It is in my opinion a blight and a sin on the souls of they that promote and foster this type of legislation and nothing less. So, if you want to read my other articles or investigate, before it is too late for you do so, do it now. I suspect you will find them enlightening. In fact many were written a few years ago but since then things have gotten worse, not better. Why would we expect any less from this crowd running "OUR" nation?.

" . . . stockholders provide the life-blood; the capital and keep the (health care) company in business, while patients do nothing but ruin the bottom line with their costs." (an excerpt from one of my recent articles; "Fulfillment, Self Expression and Compassion") Thanks for a good article, Robert. Vote your conscience in November. I will vote for the candidate with the best universal, social healthcare system. Spending time in countries with nationalized health care has convinced me that a lot of our stress in this country is caused by our fear of getting sick, because of our awful, profit-based system . Be well!.............e
