Herein I have given my opinion only for the attributes one must implement to be successful in this modern age. In fact if you truly search for them in persons of position and power in my opinion you will, in many cases, find them all present in one or multiple ways. That certainly is not to say they all implement them, it is only to say they are most likely pre-eminent.

1- Lying. Is the most significant attribute that a person must possess. They must be able to take truth and shape it to any circumstance they confront without revealing it is a lie. In this manner you will always be perceived as in the right, while passing blame, responsibility, or work onto another.

2- Greed and covetousness are other essential attributes. You must seek all you can and not be adverse to obtaining them through any method at your disposal. Lies, cunning, conniving and deceit are your allies as is certainly omission.

3- Selfishness and a love of yourself are aspects that are most associated with people of success, power, position of wealth. The item on the wall, the title to a name, their surroundings all speak to them. You must make your image into one of importance and above all others. You do this through the maintenance of a "works for me attitude" which drives your agenda and goals.

4- Mercy, compassion, love and humbleness are your enemies. These are perceived as a sign of weakness and have no place at the table of the successful.

5- An actual belief in God is a hindrance to success because you must make the "hard" decisions that are required in leadership. What God expects simply gets in the way. Therefore therefore in many cases the successful will separate the two and justify it to themselves that there is no place in business for God, just like the separation of church and state. So, if your goal is you then keep God separate from your business activities while projecting your strong faith. Remember, God is a duel edge sword. While professing all that others want to hear do the opposite which allows you to secure trust and the ability to succeed in any endeavor. It is what they percieve when you project goodness and righteousness to those you must utilize on your journey to success will enable you to use them to accomplish that success.

6- Ethical Relativity and The Law of Selective Application are two final two essentials to success. Now when you hear, "don't worry you will always have a job with us", "there is not truth to", "it is for the good of the company", "money always trumps peace" and even when you DON'T HEAR IT SAID, but it is implied in passing, never mentioned, hinted at, then know what I am talking about.

I'm sorry the path to success is littered with those who truly believe they are good and decent but do the opposite. They go to church, they have families, they "feel and understand". Yes, but sadly, do they take the time to see themselves as others see them? Do they realy care about that? In my opinion, no. Not because they are the boss or leader, because I will admit there are many good decent bosses and leaders, yet, in my opinion that is sadly not the majority, They are blinded by what they percieve is demanded or required by the business which is somehow different from what they say they believe and that is the trap.

No, their works, their signs and their symbols follow them where ever they go. In my opinion in all they do or don't do. So when they say you can't mix personal feelings, faith or beliefs with business, government or leading one must stop, listen and discern once again just what they are really professing to you while they continue to do the opposite of what they profess in thought, word and deed. It is as simple as that, regardless of what they say.

So, if they really want to be that leader then perhaps a reversal of their actions now in placing mercy, love, compassion and humbleness first in all their decisions and deeds will truly bring the change everyone says they truly want, inlcuding them! That is the true road to success and real leadership.
