The Significance of the Resurrection of Christ!

In my opinion the significance of Christ in the Resurrection is the single greatest moment in the history of mankind. It is of itself so momentous and so impossible to the literal reality of man that many of the greatest minds since that time could not accept it as happening. Of course to this day many don’t.
You see man always seeks proof when religious belief only requires faith. However, lets examine this in the literal context of the world. Everything of this world dies. There are no exceptions to anything and nothing lives forever. We are dying from the moment of conception and even from in the womb as we are being formed.
Now as I sit here caring for my 92-year-old mom each day brings news of the passing of a friend or relative. I don’t know about you but I remember my great grandparents. We were fortunate that in my family many lived into their 90’s. However many are not as fortunate and die young but they all die.
Many die at the hands of sickness; war, neglect, abuse, folly or a host of man made and inflicted actions or situations. Needless to say they died and it matters not how because we will all follow.
So here we are on the Planet Earth and from the moment we are conceived we are on a timeline toward death. There are some joys but when you think of it even your children and grandchildren are drawn into the same path and end result.
Life is not even easy but hard. Oh, some say they have it made and life is good. That may be so but it will end and franly you do not know how or when. Then again perhaps a few go through life with little to no problems, but if one looks close and examines death it has always been close.
So God offered His only Son for our salvation to die on a tree and open the gates to Paradise. These had been closed since the Flood because God had already destroyed His creation once before. He also said the next time it would be with all consuming fire. Does anyone really think the world has gotten it right?
So we all know we will die. We all know the wealth of this world is folly. Why, when you get to that final destination just ask those who went before you. You come in naked and in reality you may have cloth over your naked body but your not even taking that with you.
So why one must ask are we not trying to get in good standing with God instead of chasing the world? Why are we consistently focused on that of this world? Why can’t we see the hate, war, exploitation, greed and so forth and so on? Yes, as the prayer goes, this is “the valley of tears" and I truly believe as the words go “we are in exile".
Why would we not and especially those who say they believe spend every single living second working toward loving God who we call our Creator?
Oh, we don’t need to do that because that is why He died on the cross? Oh so you can war, murder, pillage, rape, burn, kill, exploit and every other negative sin and act in His name and that’s all ok becuase your "saved"? Oh you don’t believe in God you say so you’re not worried about it. Ok, your choice but as a logical person one must ask you to consider a few words from one famous wrestler, “what you’re goanna do, what your goanna do, if you meet God when your all through?
So when God opened the gates of Paradise for us and gave us the gift of eternal life. That one single act of itself confirmed we are immortal beings. He was the first and he made a significant statement that it is our choice and no one else’s to believe . Each one, alone and personally has to decide.
Now God could have given us all the proof anyone ever needed. In fact he has already if one really looks at creation and this world. However, that aside He does not command someone to love Him as earthy despots do. He does not command you to worship Him as the Caesars and Kings of old and today do, Moa and others. No He gave you an intellect, free choice and faith to believe in Him.
So this Holy week we must all ask ourselves if we believe or are we just going through a ritual or act that we have done out of habit? Do you believe you have an immortal soul and do you believe in the Resurrection? If you say you do then is it not time we started to all live what we profess?
