Chinese “Diesel” Sub Surfaces Near Carrier- what?

Well although many and most of the major press by passed the news, CNN did report it. The Pentagon sort of brushed by it as war games. In fact the head of the Pacific Fleet is now in China discussing joint military cooperation even while their fleet continues to grow.

Now here is the premise that we Americans must consider. If we are the most technologically advanced military in the world and brag about our prowess how did one of the most noisy subs in the world go “UNDETECTED" right under and alongside our most valuable military navel asset?

There can only be a few explanations: 1- The Chinese have developed a mask technique to fool our “advanced" detection systems. 2- we knew they were there but allowed them to perceive we didn’t. 3- we didn’t know anything and that is a real issue. 4- did we in some way provide assistance through technology advertently or even in cooperation? Now that being said why is it we do not have some sort of major outcry as to how this happened? Is it because our ties to China are growing rapidly economically and militarily? Is it because our focus is on this hemisphere and South America? Is it because it has to do with the bottom line for these international conglomerates? Well all I can say is it is amazing nothing was played up on this.

Now let me ask you these questions? 1- does anyone else have this capability and we don’t know it? That is including Russia, North Korea or Iran?

2- Since the Chinese capability is growing “rapidly’ for amphibian invasion capability- like D-day style- is Taiwan the issue or something else?

3- Do we really maintain the forces “here" to repel and invasion without resort to Nukes? Now in my opinion if you’re sitting there thinking anything will be done on the major issues then I don’t know where you have been? They just reported our troops are coming home to no jobs, they are thinking Comprehensive Immigration reform. Average Americans are going deeper into the economic hole and all is great in Mud Ville. Let me ask does it really matter or is the BCS / Super Bowl races all that matters? Is it time to buy a new car or a vacation villa? Is it time to take that trip but your perplexed as to where it is safe?
